  1. Thank God you had good medical care!! so glad to hear you are getting better. Hope you keep improving from this point on.
  2. thnx ladies!! of all the people that changed, she surprised me the most. She always told me how beautiful I was despite my size. She never once made me feel bad because of my weight. It's confusing to know me being overweight, makes her feel like I am safe to have around. Does not make sense at all!!
  3. That's just a couple weeks away!! congrats!!
  4. congrats!!
  5. Thank God for pictures!!! that is really the only I can SEE the new me. So yes, take lots of pictures
  6. Congrats on your baby!!!!! and I am looking forward to an answer to your question as well I am hoping I will be done losing by Nov 2013 so my surgeon can give me the ok to get pregnant. But I always wonder what happen after, with the baby weight?!
  7. I measure my food. That keeps me from over eating. I never paid attention to the signal before. And honestly, I didn't even know what the signal was!! After surgery, I ate until I felt "full" which meant stuffed/uncomfortable. By measuring my food, I learned to eat and stop before reaching that point.

"just finished packing for our trip and my clothes only takes up about a third of the space the old big clothes use to take!" THAT IS SO TRUE!!!!!
  9. IT HAS BEEN FIVE MONTHS SINCE MY LIFE CHANGED!! I walked in this morning wearing a new outfit. Complete chaos lol!!!! My "friend" started acting up again. Ever since my surgery, she started a crazy eating pattern and exercise day and night it seems like. She sat there and said NOTHING. Once the other coworkers walked away, we started discussing the day and plans for the weekend. She found a new cool place and was thinking of going there Saturday night. I said awesome and then she said this: this is going to be fun, although I am not sure of "this" new you. You are no longer the beautiful SAFE friend. WTF?!? I smiled and said " what you mean to say is, I am no longer the fat friend and you have seen nothing yet cupcake" This is fuel for me. I am determine to be the beautiful, skinny, unsafe friend. Her and others that think like her, have no idea what's coming P.S I learned today (from my NUT) it is important to keep my calories up above 600 calories. For my body to process protein properly and boost weight loss, my caloric intake have to be at a good level. From 600 to 800 but no higher than 1000 with exercise of course.
  10. I wish you have a speedy recovery!!
  11. Being able to wear heels again , feeling satisfied after a few bites of food, feeling my daughter wrap her arms AROUND me when she hugs me
  12. You proved that you do need the surgery. They will not deny you. Weight gain however makes them angry lol!! you will be fine
  13. Oh no!! Really hope you will be able to move forward with your plan!! Best of luck and keep us posted
  14. 1) Physically I was ready, but mentally I still was dealing with too much. I could not dream of smiling and talking with strangers, while adjusting to my new way of life. If you can, why not stay home? Your mind and body need time to rest. 2) Stay. This is major surgery and in case of an emergency, you want to have access to professional help. Good luck:)
  15. CONGRATS!!!!!!!! You have done an amazing job!!!!!!!!! You look like a different person and I am so happy( and jealous). Your post gave me hope and I am going to keep pushing toward my goal. Thank you for posting. God bless you and your family and your new life.
  16. It is not easy!!!!!! I feel this part of the journey is pure torture . But we have to go through it I guess. I was not perfect. By day six I thought for sure I was going to go insane. I allowed myself the one cheat. That was the only one. I ate a McChicken sandwich and (6) chicken nuggets with fries. I slept like a baby that night lol!!!!! the next day, I went back on my regiment like it never happened. I made a deal with myself that I would not do it again, and I did not. I also made up for it by exercising more. Just make sure you don't lose sight of the surgery, and the weight loss you need to achieve.
  17. "Down for maintenance" I'm sure it will be back on later today or tomorrow. This is not unusual for many websites to close down for a day for upgrade purposes.
  18. I sure will!!! I saved every receipts from labs, office visits and medications. And of course the bill from the surgeon
  19. I went through the same thing. I was so invested in the surgery by the time I realized my money was not going to be enough. I had no one to ask for what I was missing, or to co- sign a loan. I went into my 401K and took the money that I needed.
  20. Congrats!!!!! I imagine you might no be able to lose weight at this point. Might not be safe for the baby. I have tired for so long to have a baby, I am just happy that you are. I sometimes wish it would happen to me. I don't really want to wait until 11/13 to get pregnant. I want a baby so bad.
  21. I know the feeling!!! Per my pre-op guidelines, I take Dulcolax Stool Softener (2 tabs every other day) to keep me regular. But at your stage, you are barely eating, don't expect any big movements
  22. Thank you so much for sharing!!!
  23. lmao!!!!! Sounds like fun but I'll pass I already started saving money for some plastic surgery. I really want to get pregnant, so I will wait until after to do a tummy tuck. But as SOON as I get the ok from my doc, my girls are getting a lift and boost  and I'm losing the wings
