  1. Good luck and best of best wishes!!!!
  2. Don't feel that way! My PCP was very happy with my decision to have the procedure done. She looked into what the insurance will agree to cover. All the requested labs were. She would not do anything unethical as much as she loves me lol! So I'm sure your PCP will follow the guidelines and get you what you need.
  3. I did all my labs through my PCP including the chest XRY and EKG. If I remember correctly they were submitted under physical.
  4. AWWW man I am so glad to know I am the only one going through this! thnx you guys for sharing:)
  5. Started mine last week and the protein shakes really helped. About day six I had that homocidal behavior lol! my poor sis had a few chicken nuggets left in her plate and let's just say she values her lilfe lol!! now I'm much better at walking away and lost 12lbs but was only asked to lose 10lbs.
  6. Good luck! My new life stars next Thursday
  7. Hello!! my surgery is sheduled for the 24th of this month. My doctor alo wants me to lose 10lbs pre op. I am to drink 5 shakes a day ( I use Isopure protein shakes ) and one meal of green and lean protein of choice. My fav so far: baked fish with broccoli, or baked Chicken with green beans or baked salmon with fresh baby spinach that I cook in small amount of water for 5mins. Plus I drink 64oz of water faithfully!! If I fee hungry I either have skim milk or strawberrys.... in two weeks I lost the 10lbs and still have a week and a half to, so I wish to lose even more. I dink no soda( not even diet. If I cant have the real thing, than why bother.), or coffee, no juice! Bottom line, you have to make it work! It is not easy but it can be done!!!
  8. Good luck!! Let us know how it went!!
  9. I am a self pay patient. I have a surgeon that offers BLIS coverage, sine my insurance will not cover post-op complications should I have any. I just found out that I can not withdraw the amount that I need to afford his total fee. I found another surgeon! He can do my surgery sooner, have great comments from past patients, well within my price range, but he does not offer BLIS. What do you think folks? I really want to move forward this. The BLIS coverage was a nice safety net, but do I really need a $4,500 safety net?

really happy for you!! Take pics and document every moment lol!! I go in on the 23rd and I want to know what to get ready for. I wish you a very safe surgery!
  11. I totally agree with the previous comment! It's how he said it! He has been with you for a very loooong time, so it is safe to say, that he loves you. He watched you go through so much to lose 150lbs! I am sure that took a LOT. And he knows it. As we know, the pounds add up rather quickly. And sometimes, we don't always see it. So stick with your healthy eating guidelines, get back on track, and forgive your hubby for how he delivered his concerns. Tell him, that you worked hard to get to this point, and have no plan to mess it up! You love and welcome his comments and words of support, but to please be gentle
  12. When is surgery!? and yes I kinda feel nervous too ! I want this to work so bad!! I can NOT fail!! but I do trust my surgeon, so I am not worry about the surgery. I don't even worry much about the recovery phase, because I know the pain/discomfert is part of the deal. But once that part is over, I am nervous about losing weight.
  13. that's great news! reall helps my nerves to see a post like that
  14. lol! today I got a list of stuff not to do post-op, and that was one lol! Glad to hear that you did ok, but I would not chance it again
  15. did my consult today and surgery date is set for the 23dr!! good luck:)
