  1. congratulations!!! ive been following your p[osts and such a transformation! u look great and i am sooo happy for you! i cant WAIT to be there and and u give me faith that this will work and help me be a better person!!!!

Thank you so much for your support!! and YES it will work. Be sure you do your part: Low cab, high protein, Low fat, low cal, exercise, plenty of water, ( after five months I would like to add to this list) BE PATIENT!!

  2. Once you start exercising, you will start looking forward to it. Pick something you like, pick set days and time. It will become a routine for you. And when you don't do it, you will miss it. I use to think that was crazy talk. I do NOT like to exercise(my 348lbs body was proof of that). I started exercising on a regular basis, and when I skip a day, I feel so bad and guilty!

  3. this is the part of the process that I dislike the most!! I can deal with not being able to indulge in my favorite foods. I don't mind giving up sugar, bread, rice, pizza and fast food...I had the surgery for this purpose.

I do mind the fact that I gave up 85% of my stomach and have the scale not budge for weeks!!!! I get down right angry!!! I follow my eating plan to the letter, and when the scale does not move, I feel horrible:(

  4. You go Girl!!! You look great and I am sure will continue to improve with time... I'm happy for you and thanks for being an inspiration to me. I am looking for all of the positive words, pics, etc. I can get before my surgery. Last appointment today and then I will find out definitely if next week is a go... I can't wait!!!

I wish you all the best!!!!

  5. Don't be so hard on yourself!! One thing I know for sure, our body will lose this weight at it's on rate. We have to be sure that we are doing the right thing. I don't know about you, but I was not eating the right thing most if the time prior to surgery. That's how I got to where I am.

If I was to eat what/how I ate before, even in smaller amount, I would be in deep trouble lol!! I really want this surgery to work, so I made a total change. I use ( absolutely ) no oil in my cooking, I stay away from carbs and starches ( potato, rice, bread and such ). I always take in 80gr of protein or more. I drink no less than 64oz of water. I do not take use sugar ( or substitutes ). More importantly I exercised no less than 3x a week, from 45 mins-1hr

Keep a journal of what you eat for three days or so. Sounds like hard work but it's not. Just write down what you are about to eat, amount and time. Share it with your NUT and see what the NUT can change. That might do the trick.

Really hope your spirit is not down. You had a rough start but you can turn it all around. You can do this!!! We are all cheering for you:)

P.S 30lbs loss is still a loss, take pride in that:)

  6. I am currently in a stall right now. Im stuck at 338. been in this stall for about 3 weeks now. I would not worry, stay positive because it will pass. Here is an inspirational quote "Now we are the masters of our fate. That the task that which has been set us is not above our strength. That its pangs and toils are not beyond our endurance. As long as we have faith in our cause ,And unconquerable will power , salvation will not be denied us!"- Winston Churchill

thank you! really appreciate your words.

  7. your stomach went through some major trauma during surgery! it needs time to heal. A liquid diet is the best thing at this point. No stress on your new stomach and on your fragile staple line. It will be over before you know it.

When I got annoyed with my liquids I just thought about the damage I could cause to my sleeve if I don't follow the rules. Since no food is worth a leak, infection, and my life I held on until it was the proper time to progress to solid food.

The time will come. Be patient:)

  8. sorry to hear about your niece. Maybe she's disappointed about her complications, that's why she's shutting down on having the surgery. Keep being supportive, once she's in a better place in a medical stand point and see how well you are doing, she might give it a go again. I don't think you should feel guilty or feel wrong for being excited. I would be a little mindful around her. I have a feeling you two have a close relationship, so you will find a way to be there for each other(=
