  1. Be prepared to work hard -- this journey will also be hard just like everything else in your life that is valuable. But the difference is, you've got a tool that will never fail you if you give a 100%.
  2. Is Amway Nutrilite a good choice for Protein supplement? I used to take Positrim to help with weight loss a couple of years back. I did lose some weight, however, the taste was aweful! I dont want to buy an entire 500g tin of Nutrilite only to dislike the taste and waste it. So your opinion pls? I dont get much choices in Protein suppliments (unflavored or mildly flavored) in India. So I need to find something suitable. Would greatly appreciate if you could also help me with this: What is the optimum composition of ingredients that I should look for in a Protein powder? Like percentage of whey isolate etc? My next doc's appointment is on Mar 9. So I'll be asking him to recommend some other product than Optifast, but I just wanted to prepare myself.
  3. I cant relate to not having your husband's empathy because I was never married. But I sure can understand how disappointing and frustrating it can be.. Like others said, maybe he wants to see the old confident you. But anyway, dont worry too much about it. every pound you lose will be replaced with a pound of self-confidence!
  4. This was my nightmare for the first 2 weeks. I have asthma and have never slept on my back. So I was half-awake all the time the first two weeks and had huge soft pillows on my side so that I dont roll over on my tummy. I miss sleeping on my tummy Take care of yourself!
  5. Talk about transformation! WOW! You've done an AWESOME job, warrior68! And yeah - screw those who do not see how much hard work has gone into this inspiring weight loss journey! I have been so reluctant in hitting the gym coz I've never been good with exercising. Seeing your pics has inspired me! I guess any time I think of quitting exercise, I'll just have to look at your before-after pic!!
  6. Oh dear, I truly hope you feel better soon and have a satisfying and rewarding weight loss journey!
  7. Worst/Hardest: The irrational fears of failing. I know that I would NEVER fail with this tool coz I'm pretty much an obedient patient and follow EVERYTHING my doc says. But at times I have this fear that I may not lose as much as I and my doc expect. Best: I have asthma but for the past two months I haven't once used my asthalin inhaler!! I'm able to walk and climb stairs without needing my inhaler!
  8. Congrats! All the best in your weight loss journey!
  9. Congrats on your awesome success!! That was an incredible and inspiring journey! All the best to reach goal!
  10. Only two months out? What a fabulos transformation that is!! You look A.MA.ZINGGGG !!!
  11. Awesome! Congrats! Oh Lissa! That's hilarious! LOL
  12. Congrats on your WLS! Wising you a speedy recovery and success in your weight loss journey! That waiting period is to allow your sleeve to heal enough to accept solid food. My doc wanted me to be on clear liquid diet for first two weeks, then full liquid diet for next two weeks and mushed and soft solids for week 4 to 8. I can start solid diet only after week 8.
  13. Welcome to the forum! This place is awesome! I wouldnt have had such confidence going into the surgery if not for this place. Ofcourse I did some good research but this place is like having your own cheat sheet LOL. I dont even post the q's directly, I just search for the info and it turns up in many topics
  14. Congrats! All the best for your surgery and speedy recovery!
  15. Congrats! And all the best for your surgery and speedy recovery!
  16. I had two stalls within the first 4 weeks too. I was freaking out and then read here that most have these stalls early. And I dont really think we can do something to break the stall. So dont worry, you'll surely move past this soon. All the best!
  17. Glad to hear that! Take care of yourself and good luck with the weight loss!
  18. Congrats! You guys are black belt LOSERS!! I wish I was a fast loser too - but I tend to lose slowly. But I'm not worried much. Coz though it has been a bit slow, I do see gradual weight loss and I'm more and more confident that I will be able to lose a considerable amount of weight this year and reach goal atleast next year!
  19. LOL the first thing I noticed before joining the site are the tickers! And then I searched in the forums for instructions to get one - there are many posts that instruct how to get a ticker.
  20. Aww I feel so bad you had to go through that! Mean people are everywhere. You cant beat yourself up everytime you cross paths with one. A lot of bad habits start because of peer pressure than any other reason. But it is a great thing that you've learned so much from that experience. I know we all have reasons to not let others know that we've had surgery. That's our personal business, right? And it is good that you had a wonderful support from your friend. Dont worry! All will be fine. And best of luck in your weight loss journey!
  21. VJSlim replied to maddmaxx's topic in The Guys’ Room
Good luck to you! Wishing you all success!
  22. WOW! An amazing NSV! Congrats! I hope I lose more weight soon to have that much of energy!!
  23. Thank you very much for the reply, Swizzly! Right now, my food is totally fat-free. So I dont think I'll have any problems with the cottage cheese. But I just wanted to check with people here so that I dont mess up my weight loss
