Hungry

So, I am one week post op and things have been going relatively well. Right now, I just want to eat something. I haven't eaten anything for three weeks and I'm a little tired of protein shakes. The soup has been a nice addition, but I would LOVE a chicken breast about now. It's not that I want to eat bad, just want some substanance. What's the deal with waiting like 3 weeks before you even eat mashed potatoes. Can anyone relate?

App availaible on the Android Market.

Congrats on your WLS! Wising you a speedy recovery and success in your weight loss journey!

That waiting period is to allow your sleeve to heal enough to accept solid food. My doc wanted me to be on clear liquid diet for first two weeks, then full liquid diet for next two weeks and mushed and soft solids for week 4 to 8. I can start solid diet only after week 8.
