Rock it out! Good for you! I can't wait until I'm faced with the light at the end of the tunnel and can say I'm x amount of lbs away from goal. HOLY MOLY! What do you plan to do when you hit your goal for your birthday!?

9 Dys Post Op And Im Having The Hardest Time Getting My Protein And Liquids In.
I agree with Joni. Ask your doctor. And generally, the first 2 weeks should be liquids only, I would definitely not advise eating eggs. My dietician did not allow me to eat eggs until I had healed completely (though some people are told they can have them with "mushy" foods- it's all up to your medical people). Good luck! Keep us posted so that we know everything is alright!

Nervous About The Pain!
I had my gallbladder taken out in May of 2011. The pain was AWFUL. I took pain pill for what seemed like forever. Naturally, when my surgery was scheduled, just like you, I was afraid of the pain. I didn't want to relive how I had felt before. Honestly, though, while I felt tenderness and swelling was apparent, it wasn't as bad as you might think. A good hospital/surgery center is going to keep you well medicated and help ween you off an IV drip. I had an IV drip until the end of the very first day after surgery. Then they gave me liquid- which I thought was way worse than any pain. Because you can't take pills right away, you have to take the most awful tasting medicine (in my opinion). The first week after my surgery, I stayed with my mom, and she just about had to force feed it to me LOL but I'm a wimp when it comes to taste. Being nervous is natural, so I won't tell you not to be (I bawled the entire check-in process right before they gave me like...3 doses of some medicine to calm me down). I'm 3 months out, 60 lbs down and I have NO regrets. There are bumps in the road and certain things you have to get used to, but really, I am so happy with my choice- as is most everyone on here! Good luck! It will all go well! You'll LOVE it!

Heartburn Straight From Hell
Thanks Glenda! I tried that earlier, but it made my stomach turn a bit. It's a little humid today, and I have the weirdest stomach that's sensitive to just about everything (yes, even the weather). If it's humid, then my stomach is going to refuse any dairy. But I appreciate your reply! Good to keep in mind if I run into this again and don't have the stomach flu

3 months after!
I'm down 60 lbs since my surgery on January 31, 2012! I'm loving it! Keeping up with the eating right and exercise and it feels amazing. Not ONE regret!

Heartburn Straight From Hell
Hey there folks! Well it's been quite a while since I posted anything. Tonight, I post a question--- I am out of my prilosec that my doctor prescribed me (my surgeon/his facilities are 2 hours away). I have an appointment with him on Monday, so I've been trying to hold off going to the store to buy the OTC kind, since it's so much more expensive. Anyway...I've got really bad heartburn tonight. I suspect because I have been sick all day with the stomach flu and have been throwing up (first time since my surgery on Jan. 31, 2012). I'm miserable, and I can already tell that I'm not going to get to sleep. Do any of you have home remedies for heartburn that I could give a shot? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Gaining Muscle?
- Gaining Muscle?
Has anyone else experienced a sort of "stall" after hitting the walking? I've been doing well with my walking, but for the past week my weight hasn't really changed. Which I know I can't expect loses everyday, just seems silly to be eating so few calories and then burning them to not see a change. I figure maybe muscle gain, but I don't know how much walking builds muscle. I'm not super worried. Just curious. Gracias!- At My 6 Week F/u...
I'm in the waiting room of GHP...just saw the dietician who gave me the go-ahead to start trying different foods. I'm a little nervous. I'm afraid of trying new foods...which she said that I don't have to do anything I don't want to do. So conflicting because I'm bored with my current food LOL Next up I meet with the exercise dude. He is SO nice. Then a quick meeting with my surgeon.- What Would You Do?
I wound up paying cash...kind of. I got a loan. I didn't have insurance at all. I stayed in the US, but it cost $17,000. I went to Michigan and I live in Indiana. The first hospital I considered charged $60,000 JUST FOR TWO NIGHTS in the hospital...so I saw $17,000 for everything a bargain...plus they have the highest excellency in the area...the first hospital was still pending. It is a big loan, but so worth it. It's got low interest on it because my bank is amazing- and nothing was going to stop me from getting the surgery LOL No regrets at all!- Stupid Question...
Ahh...I retract my question LOL- Stupid Question...
