  1. Next time do somethign really odd - like take in a floaty dog toy and keep throwing it out, and going to go get it...trust me, everyone will avoid looking at you too. This is a random thought and has nothing to do with the neighbors across the street my senior year in college...
  2. If I find your pic on my camera I am going to be uber suprised! o_O JK - thank you and absolutely looking forward to your pic!
  3. I am sorry I didn't have time to look at all of the responses. Could someone go with you so you Hubby could stay home? With gas prices as they are, flying might comperable...see if you can get skymiles donations from friends and co-workers...
  4. I took this picture about a week ago, and forgot about it as I was immediately distracted. I was looking through my phone and I did not recognize myself...this is kinda freaking me out...I have went from "I can't be that big" to "There is something wrong, it's elongated"...but its not. Its me... : ' )
  5. Would talking help? I can take a lunch and give you my number. Message me. PLEASE consider reaching out to a friend, or your church, or even a coworker...
  6. Kathy - in an advertisement? Did I miss that? Who? Thats pretty kewl, but I think anyone of us could do that and be a very worthy representation. Your response posted as "not" at first, lol - that was what my response was to intitially.
  7. Yes, we are. We are looking different, healthier, NSV's every day. Absolutely. KUDOS TO EVERYONE!
  8. I just want to take a minute and say how abso-freakin'-lutely AWESOME it is to see the updated pics that are starting to get posted, and profile pics that are changing with the 9-6 month crowd (kinda what I lump myself in at the moment) - We are changing so much! I want us all to be very prowd of ourselves, and feel really good! yay! Yay for US! For those coming our way, you will see this too! You will have this NSV too! Hugs to all in a really feel-good moment I had to share!
  9. Ask your doctor if he still has a relationship with any patients that far out - an dwould he pass on an invitation to chat. Craigslist - no kidding...just be careful about meeting up.
  10. Hasanyone had anything they were diagnosed with?
  11. I am days away from being 6 months out, so I dont think it is stitches.
  12. ??? Could it be the push of the food going through your system? are you following up with liquids or moree food soon after?
  13. I guess you could say midwayish - but appendix is gone - can they grow back? it's been 30 years... ...jk on the growing back.
  14. If it is just restriction and you have no excessive pain, or throwing up or such and no fever, just be very gentle, and get a cup to keep your popscicle in (lol) and gnosh slowly, but persistetly - keep hydrated and it should smooth out. You are probably pretty swollen inside. Hav eyou tried clear, warm broth to see if you sleeve might prefer that instead?
  15. I am developing a pain that is getting more persistent - that is it is occuring more often, but usually in the day ??? I think so but not sure. Its there alot now...it is low, to the left (think a line accross where the belly button is, now up about 2-4" to the left on the outside) and really out there, almost to the side but not quite... Anyone experienced with this?
  16. I know everyone will be glad to answer your questions, adn so will I (after work, lol) but you need to be researching on your own, too - these answers are out there and very, truly, seriously, don't trust us for all of your information - don't rely on passed down infromation - this is a learning phase - read, read, read and I mean books, websites - not forums, web journals (I mean medical). I will post more when I can browse freely and pull up the addresses, etc....

have a eye, ear and nose guy do two things - visually inspect each to make sure they are all the same thing - and do a culture to see if it is viral, bacterial or Vitamin deficiency. Your mouth is designed to take alot of stress before showing any issues - eyt we ignore them the most. Get it diagnosed and then fix it. Be very careful with gingivitis too - right now it is so super critical!
  18. Start with a few potted plants - get the right kind for how often you want to Water, and the shade they will have, and I suggest asking someone to make you a potting table - your first, best friend in gardening - its a table with a hole in it - you get used to the finesse of potting and get a "feel" for it before you strain - I know many a row of plant killed because of the "get it done" soil press, (a.k.a. planter's folley) lol. the hole is used w/a bucket underneath and all your excess goes in there - easy-breazy clean up. Even if you don't burn calories, a hobby is an excellent thing to have - it can keep you busy, establish new or reestablish old, good habits, and keep the head hunger at bay. Good luck!
  19. Hope to hear from you as soon as you feel OK - welcome to the Loser's Bench!
  20. Resolve what you can, if you can, as quickly as you can...I lost my Mom a week after surgery...I still fade a little inside every time I say it. My Mom would have been terrified and supportive and negative and proud, and I would have had issues too...would have, and never will.
  21. cadame had a most excellent response - but I would like to add that some of this may be head hunger - and that is an issue you will need to deal with. If you are still hungry after, say 2 protien shakes, then it is a bit of head hunger. You need a snack shake as well as a Meal Replacement - chances are your meal replacement had a more substantial list of ingredients, and is a bit heavier in calories - try about 8 oz of unjury supplement with a dose of benefiber in it - it is almost straight protien and the Fiber will help with constipation. Always get your doc's OK first. Don't do anything that leaves you thinking about what you cant do - get out and do something you normally wouldnt do - break your habits. I discovered a book "The Power of Habit" by Charles Duhigg and I think it should be read, re-read, and then take notes...it is so good - explans so much! Good luck on your journey!
  22. Lissa explained it well - and OMG Lissa I did not recognize you in your pic!
