I am 2 months post op and I am having mouth and throat ulcers. The doctors can't figure out from what. They think it may be the acid. I need help has anyone experienced this before. Does anyone have a cure or a remedy I can try to get rid of them. Thanks

I suffered with those when I was undergoing chemo many years ago. There is a medicine you can take that will numb the spots so you can at least eat. I can't think of the name of it at the moment.

There is a medicine you can gargle with called " chlorhexidine gluconate" a dentist or ortho. Can prescribe it for you but check if its safe to use with the sleeve. My dad had cancer treatment and had bad mouth ulcers from lack of vitamins. It really helped him. I hope it can help you too. Do check with your surgeon first tho..

One of the side effects of being in ketosis is high acid in your body. This can cause your mouth and throat ulcers. Not a pleasant side effect. maybe talk with your dr about this.

have a eye, ear and nose guy do two things - visually inspect each to make sure they are all the same thing - and do a culture to see if it is viral, bacterial or Vitamin deficiency. Your mouth is designed to take alot of stress before showing any issues - eyt we ignore them the most. Get it diagnosed and then fix it.

Be very careful with gingivitis too - right now it is so super critical!
