  1. 1. I slept well the night b4

    2. Pain was tolerable, took aobut 4 days to feel "normal"

    3. rewarding? I am 8 days out from surgery and down 9 pounds!! Add the 10 I lost during pre-op diet and I am aready at 25% of my goal of 80 pounds!!!

    4. I am currently on puree. I am loving turkey breast with green and regular onions with a bit of mayo. YUM! also, more protien shakes, yop, pudding, jello (all sugar/fat free), anything in a magic bullet.

    5. Dealing with the cost... I am a self payer...

    You will rock this!!

  2. Sounds like you are doing amazing!! The sadness over the loss of food is considered normal. We all will take some time realizing we can't eat as much as we used to.

26 pounds is amazing!! How long ago did you weigh in at 350? A month?? I am curious. You are going to be in the 200's in no time at all!! :)

  3. Your turnaround and new light on food intake is awesome!!! This totally proves that the lapband will be a great success for you!! One step at a time right!? We are all going to haave slips with or without the band, but now we know what to do to get back on track. We know what it feels like to eat healthy, have energy, and feel "good"

Keep it up!! And congrats on 13 years of marrage!!!

  4. The diet I am on now is NOT my surgeons pre-op diet assigned to me. I choose to do a 2 week diet b4 my surgeons assigned diet just to get the ball rolling. I did not want to be starving and craving when I had no wiggle room. :)

I do not have to start that until the 15th of November. When I start the actual pre-op diet I will be eating 3 protien shakes, and 250 calories of low glycemic veggies. I am sure every surgeon decides what has worked best for them and their clients and goes from there.
