i was banded on december 1st and as of last week (my first dr's appt) i lost 25 pounds since liquid diet. i can't believe that 25 pounds in less than three weeks. i go back to him next wednesday and i am waiting for that appointment to hop on the scale. what a tough time to be banded, alot of parties and alot of temptations, but if we can get through this month i know we will be ok. went back to work yesterday and i feel great. hope everyone is doing well.

i can't believe that this day is actual almost here. i remember finding out in august that i had a surgery date of december 1st and it seemed lifeyear's away. three more days. i am starting to really get super excited about this. liquid diet sucks. lol. i can't wait for something solid to eat. never thought i would be craving a piece of grilled chicken. good luck to all december bandsters

i just received a call from the surgeon's office that my final meeting with her will be this Thursday at 2:00. also found out that they will be making my pre-surgery admittance testing today. i am so close. two weeks from thursday and i will be banded. i have this smile on my face that i just can't get rid of. actually, i don't want to get rid of it, i want to wear it for the next 50 years. this just made my day. actually thursday is my birthday so i think this is going to be a great week.

Last night my husband and i went to CVS for our flu shot. i think november, december and january bandsters should make sure they get theirs. every year i seem to get the flu the week between christmas and new years and since i am getting banded on december 1st, the last thing i want is the flu. also if it is flu season think about how many people in the hospital and doctor's office could be spreading the flu. also you wouldn't want the doctor's to cancel your surgery date if you became sick

I was interested in buying a book to help with my lap band journey. my nutritionist mentioned a book called Eat This Not This, but it seems like there are alot different choices and that got me thinking about how Lap Band Diets are pretty unique so i figured I would go straight to the source. Thank you for your suggestions. seven more weeks to go to surgery.

I weigh 288 pounds. I have tried many diets in the past and have lost weight, but I always gain it back to get back to the 290 area. not sure why my body seems to like that number. I know I hate it. I don't stop eating when I am full, especially when i made something or bought something that tastes great or that i hadn't had in a while. i sometimes wait about fifteen minutes and even though i am not hungry, i go back for more. i feel like i am asking myself so many questions.... how is the
what a shocker. I had my upper endoscopy yesterday. wasn't bad at all and my blood pressure was good throughout the entire procedure even though i was nervous. i found out that i have gastritis (which my dad had); reflux esophagitis (both my children as babies had reflux) and something called gastric mucosal abnormality characterized by erythema (whatever that is)lol. I have to take a med called Aciphex now and i hope i can still have the surgery or that this doesn't delay the surgery. the
