  1. The first step is the hardest, and you have done that! Welcome back. Keep posting and we will be here for support. Congratulations on that first step!
  2. Using FitBit and I did 15.62 miles Jan 1-Jan 5!
  3. Glad to hear you are making progress. Sleep on the stomach helped me after my TT. You are a trooper! May have to revisit my PS soon. She does all the LB patients from my practice.
  4. Excited and scared is normal. Make sure you learn as much as possible about the band and post operative protocols as possible. Ask questions here... lots of good experience on this site. Post often no question is stupid!
  5. Depends on if the doc said pureed or soft. Try pureed regular fruits and vegetables, and chicken noodle soup mixed in the blender.
  6. You know what to do. Just start at liquids and progress forward.
  7. We are not supposed to take NSAIDS with the band. Most doctors recommend Tylenol, and the nliquid is especially good if you have swelling.
  8. Port pain lasts a long time, and the more active you are, the longer to heal completely. If you are still worrying about it on Monday, Call the doctor.
  9. Ms Rhonda... why ask when you know you were WRONG??
  10. I'm retired... always off! LOL
  11. Drink water even when busy, and eat when you need to. Plan ahead so you don't get caught without proper foods.
  12. Yay... you deserve the congratulations you get!
  13. Well... you have the veggies and the fruit to look forward to then!
  14. Getting stuck is part of being banded. I don't think anyone ever died from it. Different people have different pain thresholds. I never felt pain just discomfort, like when you swallow something the wrong way. People who post do tend to over dramatize the event! Yes, it will frighten you the first time until you figure out what is happening. Once the slime starts, it is all over but waiting for it to clear. You will have a few moments to think back and say, OK self, what did I just do, and let's not do that again!
  15. I would wait at least an hour after eating.
  16. SF pudding, SF hot chocolate.
  17. Great story... nice to see you at last! Looking good my friend!
  18. congrats... it feels great doesn't it!
  19. I never had this problem... quite the opposite in fact. Funny how we are all different.
  20. The second best thing for you all is to listen to Maddysgram. She is doing great!
  21. You are also very normal for having these feelings. As for who you tell about surgery, that is totally your choice.
  22. You may need to have your gall bladder checked first. I do know that doctors may want you to lose weight to remove fat from around the liver so they can see that area better during the surgery.
  23. Take it easy for a few days. The port site is very slow to heal and if bumped can irritate the muscle it is attached to.
  24. Keep it up! Many more NSV's to come!
  25. Just take the antibiotics and follow your doctor's orders. This will pass.
