Infected port site. Crap.

I went for my first post-op apt yesterday and my port site is looking infected. I knew it was hurting a lot, but it still had tape from the surgery on. Got some antibiotics and ointment and a follow up apt next week.

Plus, haven't lost a single pound since my surgery day.

Depressed.

Mine is looking infected also. I started on antibiotics yesterday. Not to worry it will pass. Take your meds and drink as much water as possible.

Don't give up. Just do exactly what your nutritionist and surgeon say. Good luck with the infection.

Thinking mine is too. I notices that the steri-strips around my port site were a little loose and had a different color to them. The ones on the end were lifted and the wound is oozing a little :(

I did have an infection at 3 of my 5 sites the antibotics cleared it up nicely! Hang in there!

Just take the antibiotics and follow your doctor's orders. This will pass.

I go on Wednesday and will find out what to do about my infection as well.
