  8. I have noises too with eating and drinking. Other band pts say it's common!
  9. Let me know what your dr says. My doctor seems to think its irritation from the hernia repair, hoping it will get better.
  10. I'm 14 days post op with hernia repair and have experienced extreme heartburn several times. Along with pain at the bra band...anyone else experienced this?
  11. Please add me as well to MFP. My user name is Sav22age, I was banded 12/19/12.

  13. Thanks for all the info. I'm really wanting to try scrambled eggs but read that 50% have stuck episodes.
  14. I was banded 12/19/12. I am to begin soft foods today and transition to full foods next week excluding: bread, pasta, and rice per MD order. I am curious which foods caused the most difficulty for the newly banded. I'm wanting to avoid "stuck" episodes as much as possible. Thanks

  17. Thanks for your comment. Today has been much better!
  18. I was banded 12/19/12 and for the past day I have experienced extreme heartburn: pain in the chest, back, and burning in the throat? I don't feel hungry. I started mushy foods on Wed. Today I had 1/2 c cream of wheat thinned, 1/4 c chicken soup, 1 and half protein shakes along with 40 oz water. Ive also tried gasx and tums. Can the band slip this soon? Or does it occur because I need to eat more? I'm 2 hours from the doctor and very concerned. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
  19. I started mushy on Wed. Last night and today I have experienced burning between my shoulder blades and in my chest, along with burning in my throat. Any ideas why? Can this be a sign the band has slipped? Can it happen that soon? Banded 12/19/12. The pain is so intense.
  20. I was banded on 12/19/12 and today had been my first "Debbie Downer Day"! I went to the doctor and was confirmed I have infected incisions . Then I had to come home and cook dinner for my family and couldn't eat it. Hoping its all a phase and I'll be happier tomorrow.
