  1. I love happy truths! Thanks for sharing.
  2. I was vomitting alot as well, The first night they would be ' Jonny on the spot' to keep me from being sick. The next day was better, and the third day I vomitted only once. It gets better the farther out from the surgery and I agree with Wishes. She is very lucky to have a loving mom who is there with her.

  4. I am done with soup only! I have had Laughing Cow cheese, and some puree chicken, and egg. The chicken was like a brick, so I drank liquid almost immediately. I did well with the cheese and egg. I haven't tried yogurt yet. I have been watching The Cake Boss on TV. I've gone through the first 2 seasons and I watched The Test Kitchen this weekend ( they made moist thin pork chops) I'm doing alot better, however, I'm still having problems with Water. That is getting better, so I think that will go away. How did your family/ friends take you not eating at the football functions? Your chicken patty combo sounds good to me. Best Wishes
  5. I didn't go alone, but I would have been fine. If someone does go with you they should bring a good book.
  6. Thank you for asking, I'm doing well. It's nice to lose weight and I feel I have more energy every day. Plus you get the support of the good people here.
  7. Hi, I had my surgery the 22 and I had a hard time at first. I am doing really well now. I can drink protein drinks, but do not enjoy the flavor like I did before the surgery. I have lost 11 lbs. sense the surgery and 11 lbs before. I have never lost so fast without having the flu lol.
  8. Welcome! I just had my surgery there the 22nd, they take good care of you!
  9. lol, 5 days after my sleeve I had my first food dream. I was eating a au jus turkey sandwich on French bread. I awoke in amazement
  10. I told my children it's their turn to help mom. They are all proud to help me and I praise their efforts. It's a good time to train them on how families stick together. Best Wishes
  11. 57 lbs in 2 1/2 months is amazing. Your tool is working and you don't need to feel bad about any part of it. The old saying is the proof is in the pudding. This is a long term permanent goal. By next year she will see how healthy you are and shouldn't have anything negative to say. You may want to have a heart to heart with her and tell her you would like her to be one of the people who is cheering on every time you lose, not telling you it is never good enough. best wishes
  12. I dreamed of a au jus turkey sandwich the other night. lol I have never dreamed of food before and I woke up in amazement. Today I was able to take the after surgery meds. yea me! I am so happy you are recovering so well. My Dr doesn't have me on puree until 2 weeks have passed. Give me a little puree envy. What do you get to eat? Thanks for the vibes and back at you!
  13. I had my surgery the 22 at Dr Almanza's and I was very well taken care of and treated with kindness and respect. The minute I woke up in the middle of the night my nurse was there helping me. I have been to hospitals before and never was treated to that kind of attention. I personally saw them mop a floor over 4 times with-in 4 hours and if I need anything else done I will be going back.
  14. I get that too. I prepared before the surgery this time and had other bandages available. The only thing I know to do with this kind of rash is to clean it well, dry it well, and keep it open to the air. Best wishes
  15. otter pops, eat them slowly and it gets liquids in
  16. It's good to hear from you again! I am blessed with a husband that is taking over the children while I re-cooperate. They were wanting to come and give mommy get well kisses every second and Daddy finally kicked them out of the room. Love that man! I am having a harder time than most ( vomiting) getting my grove back, but everyday is an improvement. I am now able to keep 4 otter-pops down in a day. How are you doing with liquids? I hope all is well with you.
  17. Hi, we made it back safe and sound here in KY. I'm sitting here next to the fireplace and am enjoying a good book. How are you doing on the diet? I am unable to take the cipro, so I'm winging it.
  18. I don't know how everyone does with this surgery, but did someone get the number of that truck that hit me? I hope you are doing well. I'm having a hard time getting liquids in. Blessings to you.
  19. I feel the same, I just can't wait to not be hungry anymore. My surgery is Wednesday.
  20. We had a great time at camp.No tv, no phone. We zip lined, paint ball, and the kids had their face's painted, ate junk, and played in bouncy rooms. I envy the seafood salad, but not the illness. Do you think the seafood was bad, or it was because of the dieting? I hope you're doing better now and having an adventure before our Wensday.
  21. Glad youre feeling good! I have 7 days to go.
  22. I came to the forum about the last quarter of this year of your's. I am always amazed how fast you have lost and I love seeing the changes in your photos. You have been straight forward with the ups and downs and have given me the incite to feel I can do this. Thanks and congratulations.
