The Kind Of Eggs You Eat
Thanks for the replies. I don't know why I can have fried, but not scrambled or boiled. I think I will try the egg beaters. I can't have milk with lactose now either, but I can have cheese and yogurt. Strange sleeve!

The Kind Of Eggs You Eat
I have found that I can eat a egg over easy, but boiled and scrambled eggs make me vomit. I am over 5 months out. Does this go away or should I write them off. p.s. I miss deviled eggs

A Sushi Nightmare,lesson Learned :(
I eat sushi, my favorite is eel. It's kind of a waste to buy it for myself because It takes about an hour to eat 3 slices (there are 9 in a meal). I hate throwing away the rest, but a sleeve girl has got to do, what a sleeve girl got to do. Best wishes

Question Of The Day Tuesday
I like how I've changed making the family meals. I don't want my kids having the same weight problems I had. They now have less starches and more protein. I don't keep chips or soda in the house and I swapped out fruit and veggie trays for snacks. Even the cereal I pick are grain, heart healthy ones. I'm hoping to end the fat cycle with me. Best wishes

Im A Newbie ...
I like' New Whey' I split it into 2 portions and per portion I add 2/3 cold water. Now I just have to keep it away from my toddlers, they think it tastes like kool aide.

Questions For Veterans
Your stomach is used to break down your food, your intestine's absorb the food value. We have all the parts we have had before, the sleeve just reduces the size of the stomach. Best wishes

How Long Until Your Self-Image Changed?
I'm 21 lbs. to goal, and I'm a comfortable size 4 ( a 1980's size 10 ), but I can't judge my size when I go into a store and I haven't changed my profile photo because I still think fat and I don't get photos taken. I'm hoping this fear will prevent me from stretching out my sleeve. Best wishes

Im Stuck, I Think
I don't eat fruit, but I have juice ( no sugar added ) to curb that sweet tooth. I don't have more than 3 0z a day.....when needed and not every day. It's hard to get away from old habits and fruit is a simple joy, it's just one I am willing to give up short term to get to my goal. I miss asian pears and I will have (part of ) one when I get to goal. I have not bit into a fruit since my pre op diet. Best wishes

Im Stuck, I Think
I'm sorry you're going through this. It sounds like a stall. The more you lose the longer the stall and you lost 52 ( good work ). I would go to a nut. I don't think it hurts to get more than one opion. I was told to lose weight I should stay on protein, no carbs Best wishes.

"you're Fat (And That's The Cause Of All Your Problems)"
I think alot of Dr.s want to be right or the easy answer. I went to a urgent care because my GP's office was closed. I went because I thought I had phnomia. She took a xray, saw the sleeve and said I had to go to the ER, because she didn't know what the sleeve was. I asked her if my lungs were clear and she said she doesn't know what to tell me because of the sleeve. Her focus went somewhere it didn't need to. I was so mad. I looked her in the eye and asked ,"Do I Have Phnomia?!?". " No, but you need to sign a wavier that you refuse to go to the ER."

I Think That's It For Me? :(
I'm where you are at time wise. I was told that there are longer stalls the closer you are to goal. I feel better when I exercise and it is good for you, but sometimes our bodies 'want' to stay at a comfort weight for awhile. I feel the stalls are a way to remind myself to keep to the basics to obtain the goal. Best wishes

3 Weeks Out, How Long Does It Take You To Eat A Meal?
I agree, the only reason I don't take a hour to eat now, is I get board with the food ( or it gets too cold) and I throw it away. You're doing great!

Vsg And Getting Sick
I have 4/6 kids stll at home. My oldest here has the best amune system ( God Bless her) however, I have 3 toddlers in the same preschool class that catch EVERYTHING and share with mommy. I have a stomache flu right now. It comes with a bad headache and vice like muscle pain. If I eat I get sick. I can keep water down, but it is like when I first was sleeved. I have to sip it. My biggest problem is my medicine. I take it and it comes back up. I am already loosing hair from the everyday vsg diet. Now that I'm sick I'm afraid the shock of no food will make me bald. I would appreciate any advice on this. Thank you

Banded: Should I Switch To The Sleeve?
I have not gone from band to sleeve, but my cousin got the band and did well for about 2 years. Then the band started to have complications. She is the reason I chose the sleeve. She now doesn't have the money to fix her problem. I don't want to tell you to have a surgery, but you may want to think about checking the Dr.s before you get to your new home. I love having my sleeve, and my cousin wishes she had the sleeve instead. She fears that the band has done perminent damage to her stomache.

Need Some Advice - Don't Know What To Do Or Say..
Lovinghusband1979, Hi, if your wife is only 40 lbs over weight I doubt she will find a Dr who would give her the surgery. I had a bmi of 32. That is about 200 lbs at 5'6" and I just qualified. My husband thought I was beautiful and didn't need the surgery. He loves me for the beautiful person he sees on the inside. I should tell you I love my husband of 20 years beyound reason and I am a mother of 6 children. I didn't ask permission or what he wants of my body because it's my body. I would have had the surgery with or with out his blessing because it was what I needed. Being married doesn't mean you give the rights of your body away. I understand your fear. You don't want to lose the woman you love, but she may be feeling she is loosing herself and doesn't have an out. This may be a chance for her ( if she does qualify ) to be the woman SHE needs to be. If you are open to her idea to this she would more than likely make you part of the process. Help find the doctor ( personaly I wouldn't go to a Dr who didn't do a least a thousand sleeves ). Help her with the foods for the pre diet. Tell her you don't understand, but you love and suport her choices. This is what my husband did and I respect him the more for it. He knew telling me what to do would put a fire into this Irsh womans' heart that would make me deaf to all he would say.
