  1. Get an IUD. The ones without hormones are great. I know women who have had them for a very long time with no complaints what so ever. Once it's put in , you can pretty much forget about it.
  2. I did lose half of my hair. Mine did grow back in curly. It's crazy. I have had straight hair my entire life. I am now learning how to deal with curly hair.
  3. :(

I am so glad you caught this early . God certainly was watching out for you. I will keep you in my prayers every day . Hugs!
  4. Squats and lunges are really good for your legs. Do you go to a gym? There are some really good machines that isolate the thighs.
  5. I put the toasted marshmallow in my sf hot chocolate. Their website has a bunch of recipes on it. I think everyone has their own preference. Someone told me that cookie dough was really good. I didn't think it was.
  6. I just saw the picture and it says it's the May addition. I hope I can find it now.
  7. in the food forum , under places to order samples you can find the phone number for Sytrax Nectar. Just call them and tell then you want to get the sample package.
  8. I so miss White Castles . They have them frozen but they aren't nearly as good. Sometimes I have to buy them though. There was a White Castle right across the street from my H.S. in chicago, but there are none on oregon!
  9. I had posted about this awhile ago, but I had no idea when it would be coming out. I can't wait to pick up a copy and read the article about him!! Way to go Dr. Aceves!!
  10. Well I've been sleeved 3 years. I am doing great. This board hasn't even been around 5 years, so it maybe difficult to find someone 5 years out. There are some people on Obesityhelp.com who post on the maintenance board who maybe that far out.
  11. Yes, it definitely can be controlled. It's more common when you're first sleeved, and your insides are first getting used to new foods. If you follow all the rules, you could make sure it doesn't happen. When you're very first sleeved, you'll be on a liquid diet. liquids in, Liquids out. That's when people experience the most problems with diarrhea. After that, when you're mostly eating Protein, the opposite problem starts to happen.
  12. i am 3 years out and it's finally gone away. I can drink an entire glass of milk again. Get yourself some lactaid, and some Imodium. You will be glad.
  13. donkay thanks Ken! I totally get you cause OH's software is horrible. I never knew that you had to choose the language. The red line now appears over donkay. My lap top is a PC (Dell) not a Mac. I am not sure which version of firefox it is, but I always update every time I get the "update available" message. Everything is working great now that you told me to do the language thing. Thanks again!!
  14. I did enforce my will! I slept in til 9 am this morning and did not even hear him get dressed and leave at 6 am. Needless to say, he decided to take a shower after dinner and was ready like an energizer bunny. I think he must have decided not to wait til he "was tired"
  15. My husband and I have complete opposite schedules. He is a complete morning person, and I am a complete night owl. This screws up our sex lives because he loves to wake me up way too early to get it on. I love sex and I'm ready for it most of the time. I tried to get something going this evening, and he was "too tired" so I got a little miffed, and thought "why should he always get his way?" So I told him not to wake me up in the morning. I am wondering ( now it's past 1 am and I don't even feel like heading to bed) if he's really going to be able to not wake me up. I know how long he can go in between I want quality, damn it! I am not going for a little quickie in the morning this time. evil grin....
  16. That's weird because so many women get super horney because all the hormones are released from the fat cells. Are you not feeling well because you aren't able to eat enough? You need to eat small meals all day long then. Please feel free to message me because at 3 months, things should start becoming much easier.
  17. I just wondered why your program doesn't have spell check because (I'm sure you know we check all out OH) their tool bar has ABC right on it right next to the smileys.
  18. Aren't Quest bars really expensive? The Power Crunch bars are only a little over $1. I think $1.14 at Walmart. What a good deal. I love them because they are sweetened with Stevia which is so much more natural than any of the other artificial sweeteners. Sugar alcohol and me do not get al ong at all either. I also love that they only have 10 carbs.
  19. If you read in the 50's thread, Kat just got home from surgery with Dr. Garcia and has a horrible infection in her incisions. She has to have them drained and packed every day. I am sure all doctors have problems, but I thought you would like to be aware of this. I know I would if I were in the stage of choosing a surgeon.
  20. Thanks Alex. As usual, you're wonderful for staying on top of things so well around here. I appreciate that!
  21. I never got any type of kit when I had to do it for the H Pylori test as well. I just took a big butter tub, washed it well so it had no signs of grease left, and used that and sealed it with the lid it came with.
  22. Your original post was at the beginning of April. Are you still feeling terrible? Walk as much as you can, and put a heating pad on wherever it hurts. Take gas x and call your surgeon and describe this pain. Do not let yourself get dehydrated, because that causes a whole host of additional problems. Are you sipping on fluids? You might want to take a stool softener as well.
  23. Dr. Aceves charges 8750 which includes everything, other than airfare. They pick you up at the airport, take you for all your preop tests, take you to the beautiful hotel and pick you up in the morning for surgery. You're hospitlized for 3 days then picked up and returned to the airport.
  24. I read the article, and I checked my options on firefox. I had check spelling as I type checked. Like I said, on other websites, the red line shows up when I spell something wrong, but not here. I just typed a word and spelled it wrong on purpose and no red line. weird. I've even right clicked and clicked on check spelling and nothing happens. Luckily, usually I am a good speller, I think.
  25. I wish I knew how to make links. Somebody is going to have to show me sometime. Go to the food forum under Protein drinks and look for the thread "places to get samples" then on that list, is the phone number for Syntrax. Just call them and tell them you would like to order the sample packet. You get one of every flavor and I think there are 14 and I think it's $14 including shipping.
