Do I have to eat ?

HAHA I feel the same way most of them time. I just have a routine and force it. But sometimes it is miserable because when I don't want to eat, nothing tastes good and I am like gagging it down. I just keep telling myself to be grateful to not be hungry because some people wake up hungry and struggle like crazy. My dietician says to take this time to establish the good eating habits so when my hunger comes back, I will be prepared and already have my body trained.

    Gallbladder

Whew! Medications in the US are ridiculous! Especially the really important ones, like that keep you alive. But yet, pain meds etc. are pennies. That is all I will say, before I get on a serious rant! Luckily my surgery was covered by insurance so I hit my MAX out of pocket and I don't pay anything for the rest of the year. For meds, copays or appointments. Even with insurance I have a 7,000 bill I am chiseling away at.

The loss slows to an absolute crawl the closer you get to your bodies happy weight. I wouldn’t give up though just yet.

    Telling others

I told people and it seems like they are all happy. I have not met anyone that has anything bad to say. I work in the Emergency Room and have told several doctors and they are awesome. If it was bad they would tell me. They are my support system. Along with my family. They help me at work also. Choose better snacks. I haven’t had my surgery yet

    Pre Op Diet Concerns

I’m in agreement with the others - I start my diet soon and the nutritionist reiterated if I had any problems, questions or concerns along the way to call as often as needed and they would be there to answer questions or adjust things if needed.

    Pre Op Diet Concerns

this would be a question for your clinic. It's pretty standard to withhold supplements for a week or so before a major surgery, but I can't remember if I was told that before my WLS or not (it's been too many years), and I'm not 100% sure if that would include calcium and magnesium. At any rate, what you're experiencing isn't normal - or at least not common. I've been hanging out on this site for over seven years, and I don't ever remember reading anything about this. I guess it could also be weather-related since most of the country is under a heatwave (my arthritis acts up when the humidity is high), but I don't know. At any rate, that sounds miserable! I hope you can get through to someone today to get some answers.

    2 Weeks Post op

Thank you so much. I did oatmeal in my body did not agree with that very much. This morning I tried very thin cream of wheat and so I'm holding on and hoping that this works. Thank you so much for the suggestion Sent from my SM-G781U using BariatricPal mobile app
