    I made it through!

Hi all had my surgery yesterday and I must say I am feeling pretty good. The gas pain is not as bad as I thought and other pain in pretty tolerable. I am so happy it is done and over with now I’m on the road to recovery. I am having a problem with peeing, they took the catheter out and want me to do it on my own but I can’t yet. Hopefully I will before I get discharged tomorrow. I’ve been sipping on water and jello so I hope that will help.

I wanna play! I have a long way to go but I’m more than halfway there. Beginning photo was me at my highest weight of 255 a week before surgery. Second photo is me last week at 187. My goal weight is 130lbs. I’ll be 5 months postop on Saturday.

As Catwoman7 described, I had to do the stress test for the cardiac clearance because I was on two blood pressure meds, also EKG and echocardiogram.

I'm trying to start my journey but I'm scared I won't be approved because I have a pacemaker/defibrillator. My 1st appointment visit is Thursday but I'm worried as heck that I won't be eligible. Has anyone had this problem?

I am 25 days PO and am currently afraid it isn't going to work. I dropped 20 lbs in the first 10 days and haven't lost a pound since. I am measuring and tracking everything, following my program and getting my fluids. I am hoping things start moving soon.

    My goal outfit is/was . . .

Well that's certainly creative lol. I don't actually have a goal outfit. My goal weight is 180 pounds (it'd be nice if I can get smaller, but I set my goal while trying to be realistic) so I was trying to remember what size I was when I WAS 180 pounds (this was 20 years ago... when I was all of 13) and I think I was a 16, so I was originally thinking I'd probably settle in a 16 or MAYBE 14, but I fit into a 14 in jeans NOW and I'm 196 pounds right now so still 16 pounds away from my goal weight, so now I'm thinking my weight will probably settle me in a 12. Unless I somehow lose more weight than I expect. But I don't know... only lost two pounds last month, but this month has made up for it as I've lost 5 pounds this month. It'd be amazing if I could get down to 175 or even 170. But I'd be fine to settle in the 180's too. I used to be 389 pounds just two years ago. I NEVER in my life thought I'd ever see myself get under 300 much less under 200. It's surreal to be in the 100's for the first time in 20 years, but I'm loving it and am so proud of myself! Congrats on the beginning of your journey and I wish you the best! You can do it!

I started a period diet with on dec 4 at 329.5 on the day of surgery Jan 25 i was 300. Now on feb 19 I am at 273.2. So 56 lbs total. I’ve been losing 3-5lbs a week post op. Small portions is key for me. Did stop taking blood pressure medicine as it was making me light headed when i stood up. BP is maintaining normal.
