I'm 2.5+ years post op. For the first 1 year or, so I did weight, then I added spinning instructor with two days a week. For the past year, it has been less weights, and at the end of February I added running. Up until now I ran 3 days a week, with 2h as my long runs. Since February, I have done 1x4.1k, 1x5k, 1x7k, 1x10k and 2x half-marathon races. It took a while to figure out what works during my long runs, and the best combination is sour candy and electrolytes. I still go spinning twice a week, but now run 4 days a week. Strength 1-2 days. My issue is, I'm not hungry after runs, even if I do fasting runs in the morning. I struggle to get food in me. I'm also not eating nutritional enough. I often do a Protein Shake after a run, but that just postpone eating for even longer. Smoothies are easier than food, but I struggle with those as well. If anyone have any suggestions for me, I would be very grateful.

Where did my menopause symptoms go?

I just spent a week on the GC and was cold in the evening. Hubby kept telling me it wasnt cold but I don't believe him. Could be my meds are working or less body weight means less heat

I started this journey last spring. I did everything by the book but did not loose weight through the process. Part of it was I had to have a major surgery a couple months back before I was eligible for the sleeve. So going into the insurance submittal, I thought for sure that was what would hang me up. I got my first denial 3 days in. They said my surgeon wasn’t in network. However they sent me to his office and his partners in the same office were . That brought appeal 1. I was then denied again after 2 weeks. This time they said I didn’t qualify because I didn’t do all of the steps. Turns out some person at Cigna forgot to look at the whole packet of paperwork that held my nutrition visits, the extra steps, psych evaluation, etc etc etc. but because this was the 2nd denial, opening my case back up required a peer review appeal. I am happy to say as of this morning I am approved for surgery on Monday (18th)!! I have spent today going to appointment after appointment to last minute get things in. I am sitting in the room now for my ore admission counseling and all I can think is please God let there be no other hurdles! I am ready for this! I’ve prayed in this! Let’s do this!

1/2 cup of food is 4 oz and that's about the size of food/meal I was told to eat, every two hours. Over that amount, you're over eating. Eating slower too, would help also! I am 7 years post op and still have the problem you are describing. Laying down on your back helps with the pain for some reason. At least it does to me. Good Luck!

    Sleeve failure??

Completely agree with everything that's been said. It's all about sticking to your plan. You've done the band so you've made the lifestyle change. Just keep it up and you'll be fine :-)
