I'm sort of in the same boat. I'm in the process of gradually increasing my calories to stop the weight loss. Like you, I get full pretty quickly so I am resorting to grazing all day to get the calories in. I've only minimally upped my carbs and fat and am trying to make up the calories by volume, but I'm not sure this is going to work for very long. I know I'm going to have to up those macros, but I'm not mentally ready for that yet. As for exercise, I didn't/don't want to reduce the amount I do...for me, I think its important to stay active (and I also kinda like it now, lol). I started a "Maintenance Thread", to get the conversation going on this topic...you can check it out (it just started )

Eating and drinking at the same time

I guess it would hit your intestines too fast since the liquid will immediately wash the food out of your stomach (because the pyloric valve has been bypassed. There's just a hole there now that goes into the intestines). But the only things I can think of that would make you sick because of that is sugar (for people who dump, anyway) and alcohol. Although I'm not a doctor, so... I've read and heard that's it's more because when the food washes out of your stomach right away, you get hungry again. If it sits in there for awhile, you don't.

you'll have to do that for the rest of your life. it doesn't cause dumping syndrome or make you sick. It washes the food out of your stomach so you get hungry again faster.

That was my "concern". Maybe concern isn't the right word. Given my exercise and current caloric intake, I am consistently at a large deficit in calories daily. I imagine I wouldn't continue to lose weight to the point of looking anorexic and that maybe it would stop eventually. I don't foresee me adding in TOO many more calories by the time I hit 12 months out. There's only so much I can fit in me comfortably. Given that I stick to low carb foods, they are all pretty much low calorie, as well. Maybe eventually I will add in more carbs when I am comfortable with doing so.

I’m 10 years out from having a gastric sleeve and I’m close to my pre-op weight. I am so frustrated and disappointed with myself. I guess I stretched my stomach out. Is there anyone out there with this problem ?

    First appointment

Well mine Was the opposite. At the OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY HOSPITALS you don't meet with the actual Surgeon until your PreSurgical physical assessment. I did all my pre- consultings, met with Dr Needleman July 17th, got my surgical date confirmed yet before I left. Spent the Entire month of August 2018 on a liver-shrink diet. Dr Needleman , when he palpated my abdomen, found the edge of my liver could be felt This meant I had NASH, which translates to NonAlcoholic Steatohepatitis , in lay terms big fat juicy liver, given a choice of 2-4'5 weeks, given the choice, I opted to do the whole flippin"month and it worked well. I lost 15 pounds, me who,had no successes before, and having the natural B.M.R. of a Sick,Sea 🐌 Snail, yes children it can be done. And MY Wonder Wednesday came, on September 5th 2018 at 7AM EDT I received what I had worked towards for 3 long and tearful years---- My RNYI And am I sorry? Wasn't then, am not now and never shall be, It ranks up there with my marriage and the birth of my. 3 Children as a Personal Historic Day, and I will be unceasingly-grateful to Bradley J Needleman MD who took the chance on a 72 year old woman, too old by many program's standards, and performed a beautiful smooth surgery to helped me gain a future. In 9 months I have lost 114 pounds ,multiple dress sizes, and ready to break into Onderland and head toward my goal of 175. Really he and his Head N.P. Valerie who is also his Right-hand woman, w o Ulf be satisfied with anything less than 200, that's an 165 pound loss from my highest recorded weight but I pray I have strength to make it to MY GOAL. Can I make it? I believe I can, it was the making of me to finally believe in and trust my own strength after being my,family's DoorMat for years, never making a fuss and letting walk all over me, wipe their shoes on me and not let out a protest. Not raised,to make waves- Now I am An Motorboat, I stir up waves but I get somewhere too. And Honey, it,is SO FINE!

Our general goal was to sip an ounce (30ml) every five minutes if you can. Inflammation in the stomach after surgery can vary widely, so some can drink fairly normally (no guzzling or chugging!) while others may have to sip very slowly, I could sip down a bowl of broth (6-8 oz?) and a 4 oz juice box in a half hour sitting in the hospital, and that was of no concern to the doc; when my wife went through this a few years before things went through much more slowly. Both can be considered to be "normal".

    New here!

Yes! I have no cravings as of yet. I think of eating right now as a "prescription " and I'm just following my doctor's plan. I have no hunger, which surprised me. Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app
