    48lbs to go...help!

I agree. Taking it a step further, it is likely an unrealistic goal that you will lose 4 pounds a week to make goal weight in the time frame you have selected. Once you have less to lose, the losses are going to get smaller and it’s going to take longer to lose weight. You have done fantastic so far and if you keep following your plan, you will probably lose the 15-20 pounds like Wanda mentioned. If you lose more great! Either way you will look better in April than you could have dreamed two years ago, and that is worth celebrating!

    48lbs to go...help!

I had my surgery 2/7/17 starting out at 335. I now weigh 198. I'm very happy with how far I've come but I didn't reach my goal weight by the first of the year like I had planned. I have a special occasion coming up in April and I really want to lose the last 48 pounds by then. I don't know what else I can do to lose it. That gives me about 11 weeks and I don't know what to do to lost that much weight in that amount of time. Please don't think I'm not thankful or grateful for where I am. I'm so much healthier. But I just want to be at my goal weight. I eat a low amount of calories and I'm moving much more. Maybe I need to up my physical activity but I feel as though that will make me more hungry. Any suggestions?

Yes, I started taking vitamins, biotin, calcium / magnesium / potassium supplements. I believe putting my body into a healthy pre-op state has helped me with a successful post-op. But I also started these supplements 8 months before surgery (6 months before I finalized my plans to have surgery). I wouldn't over do shakes, but I would try a few to see what flavors you like, but don't over buy as you will quickly find out they will not be your best friends post op.

    Can you drink too much?

Thank you. Yeah I’m only 4 days post op and suddenly I’m just able to drink. I’m still taking it slowly but I’ve drank about 24ounces in 4.5-5 hours or so. I am tolerating it well and it doesn’t hurt. I just want to make sure I’m not going to effect my suture line or anything by drinking too much too quickly.

    FOOD RANTING

Let me start by saying I am still so very happy I had the surgery. If I could go back I would still have the surgery. However this surgery has made me HATE FOOD. Everything I eat gives me acid. I never had acid reflux before. IT SUCKS!! I don’t want to eat because of it. If I could go through life without food I would at this point. Water doesn’t even taste the same to me anymore. Uggh. Thankful for my surgeon and his team because so far the surgery has made my body much more healthier. My new take on food though is... it would be nice if we could live without it. Surgery 9/13/18 HW 280 SW: 247 CW: 200 GW: 🤔 Not sure anymore
