what are your new coping methods?

Sew. Fabric shop. Make jewelry - a bracelet with ocean colors, soothing aqua stones and crystals.... Stay out of the kitchen. LONG HOT shower....paint my nails, put on makep, especially lipstick - who wants to ruin that by eating?

    Week one Post op diet

Anyone else on week one? I had my surgery last Tuesday and so tired of broth and jello. I’m so ready to move to the protein shakes, thicker soups, etc. I’m not hungry, but I do get a feeling like I should eat at regular meal times. I get thirsty as well in between. TMI but I have to run to the bathroom every time I have my broth. I’m an instant processor. I’m a little worried about going back to work on Monday and having that problem at lunch.

    Week one Post op diet

They gave me broth, popsicles, & a protein shake while I was still in the hospital. The first week I was running to the restroom also, but it has slowed down now. I'm 2 weeks Post-Op.

Yes, quite a lot really. I still have my hip pain but it's now mostly from a joint I won't let him inject (deep at the bottom of my pelvis). LOL. So I just have to lump it. I think my injection helped the SI and hip bursa although I think my other doc's injection on the left hip was better for the bursa than this doc's. It's a give or take. I negotiate with myself if the payoff for being active is more than laying in a recliner and having a very similar pain. I take the activity as much as I'm able now. I know it helps emotionally for sure and also think it helps the arthritis pain too.

Hi there. I’m four days post op. Just started Shakes today’s. Finished about one and a half. Drinking my fluids the best I can. Get full real quick. Just be patient. It will get better.

    Paleo diet vs vegan

I'd be flexible as the occasion calls for, why lock into something that is not your core belief for weight loss alone? Now if you subscribed to the ideology that's totally different... IMHO VSG2017 HW 249 SW 238 CW 169

    Feeling sick

Tomorrow is 10 weeks post op for me and I had a bad sick day yesterday with nausea and just feeling ill. This was my fault as I know that I cannot tolerate coffee with skim milk. It is the milk and not the coffee. I also still have a hard time taking meds/vitamins. Everyone says it will get better. Today is a much better day so you have to know that it does eventually get better.
