    Vitamin Confusion

After the initial giant weight loss, your individual blood tests dictate what you actually need.

As Spartan stated it could be different lab values. A good portion of my lab values come back "abnormal" but that's as my doctor told me very subjective. IF its just a point or two in either direction its most likely "normal" and could just be "normal" for you or different labs different "normals." Were you told that you're showing symptoms for dehydration? If your values continue to change, are more than a few points in the "abnormal" range and are trending in those directions over a period of time then perhaps its a reason for concern but until then I wouldn't worry. Remember, if its concerning to you ASK your doctor at the very least your doctor should go over it with you to alleviate your concerns.

I can totally understand your fears regarding the remnant stomach. They may tell you you're fine and it's okay to proceed with SG. If not and they are recommending RYGB, then I do think you should discuss your concerns and family history of stomach cancer. Obviously your doctor would be the best source of info, but I did want to mention that the inability to do an endo is probably not as big a concern as you think. There are lots of other ways to monitor for stomach cancer in this instance. It would also be worth discussing with your doctor whether you are at increased or decreased risk of developing stomach cancer currently vs. if you did have RYGB. It's entirely possible based on the endo results that failure to act may also increase your risks, so it would be a good idea to discuss all options. I do also think it would be unwise to let this particular fear outweigh the real risks of obesity and the other comorbidities you already have. As I'm sure you know, with the issues you currently have your risks of a heart attack are quite high. Best of luck with whatever you decide.

    UK Mounjaro friends!

Wow 20 kgs, thats really good. I am so pleased for you that its going so well. Lots of people loose slow when they have had this surgery so don't worry about that. Its the end that matters. I am maintaining now. Its tougher than I thought and my scared fat brain needs to weigh in every day and monitor what is going in my mouth. But I love my new life. I am free of the fat and my mobility is through the roof. I no longer have the eyes that watch my every heavy move because I was always the biggest in the room. Great to hear from you x

I use half and half and some sugar free syrup (Jordan's, Torani, etc.). I get the syrups at TJMaxx, Home Goods, or Ross. The selection is limited, but they are cheaper than buying online.

    Gastric Sleevr Vs. Bypass

I have no idea why this post popped in my head today but I figured now is as good as any time for my update! 😂 I’m 34 months post op. I’m 125 lbs (from 284). No regain. I think I did ok!

Out on my first date post separation and pending divorce. We’re getting drinks and visiting a farmer’s market. Probably should have picked a dress, but the sidewalks in the area are known to be real ankle breakers.

I'm heading out for an early dinner, meeting Boo's son for the first time. 😳 Trying to look uber casual, like this is nbd. I totally didn't try on 10 outfits, or anything like that .... 😬
