My surgery has finally been rescheduled for June 16 - so, a two-month delay almost to the day (original date was April 14). Yay!

@Catlove23 completely understandable! I felt the same way!! I was scheduled for April 20th, then BOOM! I'm cancelled! Started gaining weight and just didn't care. Now I'm scheduled for June 3rd.

Same here and I paid for it with elevated parathormone. A calcium deficiency doesn't show in regular blood work.

Take it slowly. You need time to heal & time to get used to the idiosyncrasies of your smaller tummy. Foods & drinks that work for others may not work for you. There’s a lot of learning ahead of you but you will work it out & in your time. You’ll be fine. BTW I still gurgle all the time. You should have heard me last night. It was almost moaning. Good Lord! If I heard those noises in my kitchen I’d be calling the plumber quick smart (or an exorcist 🤣).

Oh I slept for like 24hrs straight was in pain but good drugs via the IV..

Medicare covered everything prior and the $4000 covered everything surgery related and 7 days in private hospital private room; multiple tests in Hospital; television, food. no motel just petrol and had to buy my own vitamins and medication after I left hospital all surgeon consultation now covered as well it was an all inclusive package for the $4000- No actual psych clearance needed just a referral and a good discussion with the surgeon and of course all my labs and medical history sent to him it was a very simple process here in Australia... Oh I've had to buy my own protein shakes I know some hospitals give out protein... $4000 is a small price to pay for a new life 😛 & a fast track program! It's 8.5 months since I started my own pre-op diet and I've lost a total of 152lbs and been maintaining now a few weeks at 170lbs...

HIIT is great and blows away any steady state cardio. What type of HIIT is up to you as there are many. Personal opinion is that you absolutely should incorporate weights into your training. Building muscle is key as we loose body fat. Good luck!

I still have to go to my 3rd Nut. visit, see the surgeon and then a diet class. The office put me down tentatively for Feb 18. I am still thinking insurance will not approve it since I don't need a CPAP and diagnosed with only "mild apnea", no diabetes and BMI of 36. I am trying to talk hubby into just a cash procedure. A different surgeon said it would be 15k. That's a lot of money but what scares me more is if their is a complication and I am a cash patient that insurance wont cover issues.
