    Best Decision?

I'm a little over 4 months out, but I feel the best I've felt in years, and can't wait to see what the future holds for me!! I wish I'd done it sooner, but am also thankful that once I made the decision to do it, my surgeon got me in rather quickly. It's funny, b/c with quarantine, I'm really able to focus on myself and my family. If I hadn't had the surgery, I can imagine that this time period would have been full of depression and weight gain. I'm so appreciative of my new lease on life!!!

Nefertari, You sound like a FUN and WISE person! You WILL get through this! I would have joined you at KFC night before surgery if I could have.๐Ÿ˜‚ But/and seriously...this website is a treasure trove of info to get and keep you โ€œrightโ€. Also, the book shown is only $13 something on Amazon and will also help you. Stay with us!!

    Post Op Weight Gain

I had my gastric bypass in 2013. I did really well at maintaining until I suffered a serious knee and back injury. As a result of being unable to exercise or be active I gained weight. 9 days ago I started the reset diet. So far its working miraculously. It is teaching me to eat properly again, reducing my intake and lots of more energy. I also started using patchaid vitamin patches as well.

I stopped thinking about food all the time at the 1 month mark...I did absolutely no diet modifications or effort to lose weight right before surgery. I think that has something to do with it taking a whole month to subside.

    January 2020 Surgery Folks

Hi guys. Just checking in. I'm down 41 pounds and feeling great! I would like to lose 25 more pounds, but my weight loss has really slowed, only 1/2 pound last week. No complaints, though, I'm really feeling good.

    January 2020 Surgery Folks

People are noticing the smaller me. I also have a problem. Every 2 or 3 weeks I have to buy new clothes. I've started in increments. For example, my last order for pants was for two pair of size 38s and two pairs of 36s. I only buy two at at time because no more than 3 weeks later, they go to good will. I probably have another week in the 38's and then I'll start wearing the 36s. I'll order two pair of 34s and two pairs of 32s.
