People lose their regain without more surgery! It IS definitely possible!!! You can do this!!! Especially since re-surgeries don't always have as much success from a weight regain as the original virgin surgery. And weight loss they say is slower for re-surgeries. Don't know if any of that is true or not, but I've seen MANY MANY MANY vets successful lose the regain by going back to their old low carb forever diet they followed right out of surgery and getting active again and planning, weighing/measuring/reporting-logging every bite that goes in their mouth. It's quite inspiring. I wish you well and will be cheering for you. Maybe it's even possible with weight loss, the GERD will calm down.

I wish I'd known about stalls. I wasn't expecting them and they're depressing but normal.

    Newbie with questions

I am planning to have sleeve surgery in January with Dr. Ariel Ortiz at OCC. My insurance won’t cover bariatrics or weight loss and I am planning to switch in Jan. But I am also trying to lose weight as soon as possible to be considered a kidney donor for my sister, so I’m doing Weight Watchers (again!) until January when my schedule is open for surgery in MX. 1) My PCP is un-supportive. Is there anyone from the Tucson, AZ area with a wonderful doc that embraces bariatrics? 2) What were your pre-surgery preparations that you recommend? Books, etc. Finally, this is a dumb question, but is there any way to sort this forum so that I see newest posts first? Thanks!

Okay, I want my sleeve revised or maybe not? I have to go through a 6 month process. I am beeing seen by one of the top bariatric surgeons. So here are some positives: (1) I have not gain all my weight back. (2) Having another procedure does not guarantee my GERD will be completely eliminated. (3) I will work with a specialist for WLS patients with GERD. (4) Following this lifestyle, I can get healthier and lose more weight. (5) I am willing to do this for at least 6 months. (6) My hernia will continue to be monitored. (7) I will increase my exercise. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using BariatricPal mobile app

    Gastritis and RNY

I wonder why they don’t just get rid of that remnant. They throw away the rest of the stomach with vsg. Lol. Sounds funny throwing away stomachs. I’m hoping that the diet change and hopefully reduction in meds will rid me of gastritis for good!

    2 Month Appointment

45 lbs is a lot. I'd lost 28 lbs by the end of month 2, and I started out heavier than you.

I wish I had known how real the struggle would be with constipation... lol TMI maybe, but I'm sure most people who have had the surgery would agree. I was someone who NEVER had issues pre-surgery, so I was surprised when I had to start using products to go. It makes sense, but it wasn't on the list of things I talked about with my surgeon pre-op haha.
