    RP strength Diet template

Hey people! I recently started powerlifting. I had my first completion a few weeks ago, and since then I’ve decided to do a weight cut using an RP strength template. Problem is, it’s SO much food. I’m over 5 years out and figured I’d be ok. But when I measure based on macros, my goodness! Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can be successful with this as a WLS patient...without having to pay more money to RP and speak with a registered dietician?!

    Heartburnnnnnn

Chewing up a Tums won't hurt you for occasional heartburn. Just don't count on it as a source of calcium.

Yes, Dorothy Sue, I did. Actually, I lost only 53 or so pounds over a year out. My goal was about 150. Then in the last 4 years, I gained 26 or so pounds and plateaued at 300 for a few years. I had ditched the whole WLS rules and went rogue. Too many reasons to give a hoot. I failed. But something in my Soul recently urged me, excitedly, to start all over again. I use BP as a big motivator, teacher, best friend. It eventually worked because I am now full on into my bypass diet, with the support of my husband, who must follow a diabetic lifestyle. I'm excited, hoping it's not a "honeymoon phase", and doing very, very well. Though I must say that getting in "enough" food has been a challenge. But with all the support I have, I know I can do it! Are you having issues with weight gain/regain? Polly

Thank you so much! All the information you provided really helped and made me realize a lot of things. I guess I have to put what I feel behind and look at the new journey ahead of me. My family crying feeling bad hasn't helped much with this. I think I just have to see how I feel after surgery and how I adjust to my new stomach. Everyone is different. Reading about people not being able to handle spice, seasonings, and even meat really scared me. Its a learning curve, so we''ll see! BUT I'm glad to know that certain Peruvian dishes minus the carbs still might be possible lol

    Is this my new normal?

If it's a choice between getting up in the night to take a #2 and staying twice my ideal weight, I am happy to get up every night for as long as I live and as long as I have the strength to do so. Q. Would you rather be obese 23 hours and 50 minutes a day or would you rather be slimmer until you die and give up ten minutes for a night visit to the household toilet? A. Mmm ... let me see. Yeah ten minutes out of my life every night is too steep a price to pay. I'll stay fat and depressed, thanks, Earl. As if!
