    To-go lunches

With a microwave and refrigerator your option are endless! Easy Cold foods: cheese and fruit, boiled eggs, greek yogurt parfait, cottage cheese bowls, hummus and vegetable sticks, tuna salad, chicken salad, protein chips and guacamole, nut butters on crispbreads Easy Warm Foods: chili, quiche, kinda creamy chicken and spinach, sorta teriyaki grilled tofu, chickpea stew, zoodle lasagna, ricotta bake, meatballs, various soups and stews Meal prepping really helps especially if you can freeze meals individually and take with you as needed Safe Journey!

    My surgery is in 24hrs

@crysharris great to know! I'm checking in at7.15am CST. My surgery is considered outpatient. It's overnight stay but I must leave in less than 24hrs. I'm calm, fully equipped with knowledge and physically fit (gym 4-5 days per week). All the best to you and quick recovery.

    It's a great feeling...

Yeah umm has everything to do with being fat. People look away from you. Like past you. When people haven’t experience being obese not just overweight it’s s totally different ball game. Like when waiter comes to the table and barely make eye contact when you order but with your trim parents they do. It’s unreal. I’ve been up and down all my life with weight loss and there is def a difference hot obese people are treated. In shale people just don’t get it’s not calories in work out so be it. They don’t get it at all. It took decades until my family finally understood what I had been going too. Eh screw anyone who doesn’t get us. Now it’s our time to thrive! (; good luck to all of you!

What do you eat in the airport?

Yogurt, string cheese, hard boiled eggs, nuts, Rx bars are the things I’ve found in airports that I’ve been able to eat. Hope that helps!

    Waitress help

@brittsleeved718 welcome welcome welcome and welcome i see you just joined us 5 hrs ago!! Can't give you "official" advice since i'm not a waitress - thought i'd still answer with my thoughts. read these boards - gather a lot of good info., hear personal experience/stories too. Grab a book, watch U-tube too. - but at the end of the day, only listen and follow directions from your NUT, doc. and me too of course!!🤣 KNOWLEDGE is POWER I wouldn't go back to work immediately. You might be week/tired. if you can afford it, maybe 1/2 days for a week per many- most docs say "you are not supposed to lift anything over 5 lbs for awhile" .busing and cleaning tables - you do a lot of hard, heavy work. (not sure if many OP appreciate you!!) but i think you are great, and luv ya!! good luck with your new wonderful journey to health and happiness!! kathy

    Carbs

My surgeon said less than 100 grams daily, but that less than 50 grams was best if I was able to cut them that far. I average between 30 - 65 or so. Less than 100 is very doable with no bread, pasta, rice, candy, etc. 😂

    plateau in weight loss

Thank you! I'm starting to feel like I'm hitting my lower limit, Been stuck around 209 - 211 for a bit now... hopefully things break and I can hit Onederland... but I'm happy where I am if that never does actually happen. I'm right around where I was (less the extra weight from the extra skin) now as I was when I was 20. Which is cool.
