    I’m worried I have a leak

I agree that everything sounds pretty normal. A leak usually will make you spike a fever. Get a good thermometer and take your temperature each day or anytime you are concerned. Fever over 100 Fahrenheit warrants a call to your doc. (102 or over, go to the ER). Fevers can also be other things, so don't panic if you do get one! I'm sure everything is gonna be fine. Push those fluids!

    I’m worried I have a leak

Why do you think its a leak ? Many of those things are normalish for post op. Just from what you describe dehydration would be my biggest concern, followed by anxiety. I mean a leak is possible, but its 8 days post op and your symptoms are very generalized

    3 months post op & down 70lbs

The transition to solid foods such as Steak and Chicken can be a rough one. I found that softer foods in the form of chili and soups went down much easier, so I made my own homemade high protein soups and chilis. I have included some of the recipes at the end of the following article. http://www.breadandbutterscience.com/Surgery.pdf

I am a medical professional and I would say to stay away from the traditional BMI chart. It does not take into consideration body type or percent of lean muscle. I use the meter my trainer has which tells me I am at 23% body fat. That might sound like a big number but professional athletes and marathon runners are in the teens, so take that into consideration and I will go with it.

I called united healthcare today (choice plus) and my policy doesn't include wls. The man on the phone gave me a few suggestions, call hr and see if they'll add it to my policy. (Not likely) His other suggestion was have my doctor write a letter of appeal suggesting why wls would benefit me/why I need it. He sounded super optimistic. I really thought the no would have devastated me, but it doesn't feel like the end for me. I believe in my gut that the surgery will get covered.
