Psych appts vary but nothing to worry about.

I took an obnoxious multiple choice test - maybe 35 questions. One was - ' do you ever get in your car in the middle of the night and get fast food?' Wants to know if you have eating disorders, were you sexually abused, do you self-harm, if you are harmed at home, or afraid of anyone at home, do you have support from your family, etc. I was nervous but didn't need to be. I will say there is a ridiculous psych test (MMPI2) out there with over 300 questions that some people have had to take, but not the average appt.

    Sugar free cookie

Only 2 grams of protein for three whopping cookies? These cookies would be an utter waste of space in your sleeve. When you look at the nutritional facts, they're just another empty calorie snack. Just stick to cookies 'n cream flavored protein bars. You'll satisfy your craving for a cookie while actually feeding some protein to your body. When I get a sweet tooth, I eat Halo Top ice cream (240 calories and 24 grams of protein per pint). The Enlightened brand ice cream is also good.

Well what happened to me was that I wanted the sleeve, but i had severe GERD and my esophagus was already hurt because of it, so my Surgeon advised me against it because I most likely would have to get a revision. This was not what I was expecting but I didn't want to risk going through this surgery twice. Today I'm almost two months post op and really happy with my RNY. So you do your research and make your own decision but also listen to your doctor's advice because they know better.

    Nj sleevers

I am new to this and am looking for some support going through this rather difficult time. I am 2 wks post op and I am feeling kind of regretful. I know this is a life altering procedure that I thought I was prepared to handle but I can't seem to get rid of the nausea and the discomfort of the knot that sits below my chest even after just sipping water. Any suggestions?

My 3 yr old is looking at me mad crazy because I was APPPPROVED for my VSG surgery so excited. I have been stalking the insurance company everyday for about 10 business days and final an approval.
