    Hungry

I am 10 days post op and I am always hungry. The first 4 days I didn't even think about food, and now I'm always hungry. I drink my water and my protein shakes too. Is there ANYTHING I can eat at this stage that won't hurt me. Oh and I had the gastric sleevr not lap band.

Items to have on hand post-op

I’m probably going overboard but I’d rather have something at home than not especially since I’ll be alone for a day and a half....I also got things that will transition me from phase 1 into phase 2. Liquid Tylenol, sublingual B12, multivitamins, papaya tablets, milk of Magnesia or GasX, ginger tea, G2 Gatorade, pill crusher, SF jello & pudding & popsicles, chicken broth, canned beans, tuna and chicken for puréed protein, powdered peanut butter, cream of wheat, powdered milk, applesauce, almond milk, all ingredients for the famous ricotta bake. I’ve got a couple books off Amazon and have stocked dry items or made a list for perishables for the recipes I’d like to try. They sound appetizing NOW but from what I’m reading the tastebuds may change...

    Hard Work Pays Off ♥️

The first and last love is to love yourself! Never in a million years did I ever picture myself wearing such dress. I loved it and how I felt in it. Amazing feeling to experience. When your confident in each step, it shows and it attracts so many good things. One of the most memorable days of my life [emoji813]️

Glad it went well. Did your surgeon say you can fast at 9 weeks? No judgment but seems abit soon as your still healing. But if your surgeon says its fine then wonderful.

    2 weeks out..not a pound lost!?

Well, I think mine was a combo of the fluids + pms/period. Of course that started about 10 days after surgery, period ended yesterday and I weighed this morning and was already down 1lb, so hopefully now that's all out of the way I will see more progress

    Let's talk protein shakes ?!

I have been here awhile and just now a week out post-op. This subject is done a lot but I for one have learned something new each time. The struggle is real to get these babies down and to have them more palatable. The powdered is too thick right now and lays in my new stomach like lead. The premades are just too sweet at times. This is a subject that I zoom to when I see a new one posted. Plus the newbies are still learning the site/app. Keep the suggestions coming folks! You're doing great! There's something called the "third week stall" that almost all of us go through- please don't let it get you down. Weight loss is not linear and this is the first of many stalls you will likely encounter. Also, try not to compare yourself to others- everyone loses at their own pace, men lose faster than women, very obese people lose faster than lightweights, etc. As someone else on here likes to continually point out- when is the last time you lost 23 pounds in a month? Never? Congratulations on your success.
