Watch the News Tonight

I don't know where this will show, if it's local only or not, but I am currently watching the news and they are talking about having a new warning about the risks for gastric bypass surgery. I will post what they have to say after the report is given, but the way they're presenting it's not a positve report, but who knows with the media. It may be information we are already familiar with, I don't know, but I'll keep you posted. By the way, I am in Miami, FL, if anyone is in that news area it's being shown on Channel 4, CBS.

I say F-it-All and approach the fashion industry. Tell them morbid obesity is rampant and let us take over the pages of Vogue and Cosmo. Fat is where it's at, yada yada. We can have a recipe section where we cook and eat skinny people as appetizers.

Lisa.... No wonder why everyone loves you, funny, funny...funny.

I don't know -- I worry about LapBand taking over GB and then it turning out to have serious problems as well down the line.

Sue's comment about band removal being a booming business in Europe (where they've had the band for years longer than here in the US) gets me worried.

I guess what's really bugging me is that now that I have my first fill I can "feel" my band. I wasn't able to before and assumed that people didn't. But I feel it there all the time now -- a slight ache. I guess it's just fear that something's wrong. /sigh

I guess it'll be awhile before I feel comfortable recommending the band to others. Maybe once I lose a bunch of weight with it.
