Need Lap Band Buddy / Mentor Needing a buddy/mentor in South Dakota

Hello, I had my lap-band since Feb. 2009. I lost about 66 lbs in the beginning but I'm stuck now. It doesn't matter how much I have filled I don't seem to go anywhere. I have been trying to change my eating habits and increase my exercise but I do fall short in both of these areas, I need someone I can talk to. Someone who can help to encourage me to keep going.

Thanks,

Julie

Hi Julie, (that's my name too) Where in SD are you from? I'm from Humboldt about 20 miles west of Sioux Falls. I was banded Sept 30th 2008 and am currently down 77 pounds. 66 pounds since Feb is absolutely awesome. I got stuck in about months 8-10 and didn't budge a pound. I was really down on myself, so I up'd my protein intake then all of a sudden it jump started. Keep up the good work and let me know if you need anything or just to talk.

Hello Julie,

I'm from Harrold, which is about 30 miles east of Pierre. Glad to meet you!

I've upped my Fiber because they told me that I had a fatty liver so I did some research and read that a high fiber diet would help get rid of that but I'm still stuck. I'm going to increase my exercise and add in more weight training. My problem is that I have a hard time getting motivated to exercise. Well that's one and also I have a big chocolate dependancy. I just really don't know how to get out of this rut.

Thanks,

Julie
