I gagged on the Strawberry, but maybe I just didn't have it cold enough but haven't gotten the nerve to try it again. And maybe a different flavor would be better.

Oh how I would love to buy a bra for under $10. My sister in law used to tease me because she could get her's on the clearance rack at Walmart for $5 and I was spending $45 at VS. I'm now a 36D from a 38DD. Just wish that they weren't "deflating" and heading south a little. I want them to perk up

I was banded Sept 30th 2008 and lost 80 pounds initally with having 3 fills. But then nothing. I got lazy & didn't excercise and ended up gaining back 20 pounds. Well December I finally bit the bullet and went back to my surgeon. Who right away was upset with me that I hadn't been to see him in 15 months. He told me that he is here to make this work for me and I wasn't even half filled in my 10 cc band. So, he filled me up to 6.5 and now wants to see me every other month. The one piece of advice I can give is talk with your doctor, they are there to help you make this band work for you! I'm now back on track and have lost 19 pounds since Dec 9th.

I made it a whole 4 days and didn't have any trouble with any position.:wub:

Just this last Thursday, my surgeon extracted all of the fluid out of my band in a syringe to check if I was leaking. I was not, just needed more. He put another cc in and now I can tell. Ask your doctor to check you.

I'm sorry you got those comments. I didn't get the negative comments but more the "No comment at all". I'm not upset about it though, some families just don't express their feelings or thoughts as openly as some families. That is just my family. But I'm ok with it. I am proud of where I am and you should be as well! Good Job!

Absolutely nothing is wrong with you. I too was extremely emotional the days before surgery. It is a huge life change you are about to make and of course there are fears regarding it. But, you will do fine. It was the best thing I have ever done for myself.

My sister in law & I have the same name, Julie, well I had a family friend who said "You may be the heavier Julie, but you have the prettier face". Wow, I didn't even know what to say after that one.

Well I would say in the last 10 months or so, I have gained 20 back so here I sit at 45 pounds from goal. Disappointed in myself, but I bit the bullet & made an appointment for a fill on Dec. 9th. I hope this is the step I needed to get myself back in gear.

I am in that situation right now. Was banded Sept 30th, 2008 and initially lost 85 pounds in around 18 months. But in the last 9 months or so, I have gained back 20. I am so embarrassed, but I'm ready to get my rear in gear again. Called and made appointment with surgeon for Dec 9th. My surgeon has always been supportive, so I am praying he will be again then.

Wow, you have gone through alot. I'm sorry for that. I have been disappointed with myself. I had sugery Sept 30th 2008 and had been down a total of 85 pounds. But since then, through eating junk "slider" foods, I have gained 25 back. I'm feeling ashamed to go back to my surgeon, but decided I need to. Perhaps get another fill. I'm at 5.5 cc's in a 10 cc band. I do feel restriction at times, usually early in the morning, but then seem to be able to eat way too much later in the day. I called today to get an appt, but of course they have the day after Thanksgiving off. Hope I still have the guts to do so on Monday when they are in the office. I'm ready to start again!!

I am in a similar situation. I started dating my current boyfriend in July of this year. He never knew me when I was 80 pounds heavier & I want to be totally honest with him and I'm sure he will be supportive. But how do you even broach the subject. He has never said anything about the scars on my abdomen which I am sure he has noticed.

I will be at 2 years on Sept 30th. I'm getting there slowly. Would love to lose 30 more but would be happy with 20.

The first weeks are the ones that you will lose the fasted. I also lost 13 in the first week. It will slow down

I lost in my face and my upper body. I am very pear shaped and I definitly still have my hips & booty even though they are shrinking.

Congrats! I don't know what is with those 180's, that is where I have been stuck at too.
