  1. Congrats on both achievements!
  2. Guzzling water is almost more painful for me than eating too fast. My doctor told me that it is almost like a funnel now and when you gulp water it has to slowing make it's way through the funnel.
  3. Congrats. I could just picture you smiling as you typed that.
  4. Amazing!! Congrats. Keep up the good work.
  5. I love my hip bones & collar bone showing!!
  6. My guess would be you have to come with the money. I had to have a cashier's check ready for them.
  7. Congrats. What a special little surprise.
  8. Im on Effexor XR and my doctor told me I could open the capsule and take the granules in it with water.
  9. I just hit the 80 pound mark, took just over 14 months. Slow, but I am fine with it
  10. My main problem is my arms. My tummy isn't too bad, but of course you would always like it tighter. But my arms, I swear, if I wave I could knock someone's eyes out with the swinging skin.
  11. I am 14 months out now and still have gas all of the time. I was told to keep the Gas X strips on hand, but they don't seem to be doing anything to help, so I am curious on other suggestions as well.
  12. WOW, I truely don't think she was trying to "offend" anyone.
  13. Awesome. Good for you. You look great!
  14. June 14th to Sept 30th. But I was self pay, no waiting for insurance
  15. My niece found a picture of me a year ago and MADE me look at it. I wanted to cry! She said that the first thing she saw in the photo was how unhappy I was. I tend to want to throw those pictures away when I see them. I have to force myself not too.
  16. That is so awesome for you!! Congrats
  17. I was told to get a medical alert bracelet saying that I was a Lap Band patient, I never have. I was told that if I was in the need to be intubated, they could really do quite a bit of damage if they don't know the band is in there. Do you hae a bracelet? I wonder how many people do.
  18. I am so glad I work with all men. Women are so vindictive & catty. Men just let everything roll off their back. I truely don't think I could go back to working with an office full of women.
  19. Awesome!! Great Job :-)
  20. I was self pay, banded Sept 30th 2008 and down around 77 pounds give or take a pound. My total was right around 20,000 with all of the tests etc. I am really nervous about a slippage or other problem because of course it would all be paid by me. However, I don't regret doing this for myself.
  21. Talk about changing up you world!! Just means that you get to start your new life sooner rather than later!! Good Luck.
  22. Isn't shopping so fun now. I used to absolutely hated it when I would have to go shopping for clothes. I just went yesterday and was crying when I put on a size 12 pair of jeans!! Congrats
  23. That is so funny. My sister in law thought I was nuts when I told her my feet were shrinking. I went from a 9 1/2 to an 8 and the 8's are getting big.
  24. Hi Julie, (that's my name too) Where in SD are you from? I'm from Humboldt about 20 miles west of Sioux Falls. I was banded Sept 30th 2008 and am currently down 77 pounds. 66 pounds since Feb is absolutely awesome. I got stuck in about months 8-10 and didn't budge a pound. I was really down on myself, so I up'd my protein intake then all of a sudden it jump started. Keep up the good work and let me know if you need anything or just to talk.
