That was one thing that I was soooooooo paranoid about. I would keep my coat on at times just to cover the back rolls.

Wishing you all the success you deserve. Just imagine how good you will feel and how much more confidence you will have a year from now. Follow all of your doc's rules. Make good/healthy food choices. Get out and move and you will see results!

I hear you! I'm looking forward to the time when I can see myself in pictures and not be mortified.

I took pics today...even though my surgery was yesterday. Your so right, until you see it on film...you have no idea how big you really are.

I recently found an old picture of me at my heaviest. Needless to say I needed smelling salts to wake me from my faint!

Never again. Never.

Apples, you got it right on. Follow the rules and you are home free. It won’t fail.

I know where you are coming from about the pictures. I had my husband take my picture this morning to remind me of what I have done to myself. It is so discusting to look at my pictures but I want them to remind me of how awful I looked before my surgery. Surgery is tomorrow, Nov. 19. AND I AM SO EXCITED I AM BURSTING AT THE SEAMS!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck Maggi...hope you have a speedy recovery. I got mine yesterday and I'm feeling okay, but I'm making sure to take my pain meds like I should too.

Even when I was fat, I never really *looked* at the photos. I kind of looked around all the bits I hated.

I have one photo that serves as my reminder. I was rarely in photos, not because I avoided them but becuase I was usually taking them. I have one of me when I was about 40 lb down, nearly half way. I was feeling great, back in regular size clothing, had had my hair straightened. I came across it one day and thought WHOA, I was huge. Then I realised how great I was feeling at that stage and it makes me shudder to think how big I really was.

My niece found a picture of me a year ago and MADE me look at it. I wanted to cry! She said that the first thing she saw in the photo was how unhappy I was.

I tend to want to throw those pictures away when I see them. I have to force myself not too.

I've take this same eye opening pics, and mean are posted so everyone can be free to look! Who ever thought somoone could let them happen? That's what I say when I look at my body. Not one belly roll, but several, and the back rolls. Geez. No wonder. People walk right by me, like I dont insist. Im just a great glob of lard to them. I won't be because Im getting a Lapband. Woooooooooooooo hoooooooooooooo! it wont be until January 2010 but New years bring New Starts. Im good with that. Girl, don't worry about what you say in the pic, know you are changing for the better. Make it happen. KICK FAt in it Azz@@@@@:bored:

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
