Banded 9/21 & so ready for mushy stage...call me crazy!

Hey there!

I know each surgeon is different, but I have been on some form of liquid diet for about 6 weeks now & still have 2 more weeks. I am so ready for some form of food!!!! I'm about to gnaw my arms off!!!!:) Although, I can't be too frustrated since I have lost 24lbs. But still!!!!!

I had to do 4 weeks of Optifast (5 Optifast shakes & one meal per day) & now have been on clear liquids since the day before surgery. Thankfully, they just added yogurt, pudding, & cream soups...I feel like I've won the lottery!:) However, I do not move to the next phase (mushy) foods for another 2 weeks. What mushy foods have you found to be your favorites? I'm putting together my menu now, since all I can do is dream about it! Did you blend everything?

Thanks so much for the advice & encouragement!!

I don't blame you! My mushy stage included scrambled eggs and they were my lifesaver. I added egg whites to my regular eggs also. But I tried one different food each day. I was full quickly. I know your hungry, I put everything into my little magic bullet once i was on full liquids  Pay careful attention to your Protein and make sure your getting enough, it will help keep your energy up and also, eat small meals every 3-4 hours, even if its a Protein shake.
