  3. Hey there! I am having my 1st fill in the morning & I'm wondering a few things. I had surgery 9/21 & have lost around 40lbs since the pre-op diet phase. The weightloss is definitely nothing to sneeze at (especially w/o a fill), but it has slowed down significantly!!!! Plus, I am getting hungry sooner & can eat larger amounts if I choose to. Will the weightloss pick back up after the fill? If so, what should I expect (how much? how fast?)? Will I feel restriction after just one fill, or will it take several before I actually experience the restriction? Thanks so much for your advice & encouragement!!!

  5. Hey there! I posted this in the September board, but thought I would also put this out there for all you veteran pros! I know each surgeon is different, but I have been on some form of liquid diet for about 6 weeks now & still have 2 more weeks. I am so ready for some form of food!!!! I'm about to gnaw my arms off!!!! Although, I can't be too frustrated since I have lost 24lbs. But still!!!!! I had to do 4 weeks of Optifast (5 Optifast shakes & one meal per day) & now have been on Clear liquids since the day before surgery. Thankfully, they just added yogurt, pudding, & cream Soups...I feel like I've won the lottery! However, I do not move to the next phase (mushy) foods for another 2 weeks. What mushy foods have you found to be your favorites? I'm putting together my menu now, since all I can do is dream about it! Did you blend everything? Thanks so much for the advice & encouragement!!

  7. Thanks, Ladies! I just got moved to phase 2 of the liquid diet which includes yogurt, pudding, & cream Soups. I feel like I've just won the lottery!!!!! I still get extremely hungry, but these seem to help curb it for an hour or so. Good luck to both of you...I wish you continued success!
  8. I am so glad to have found this post!!! I just posted a very similar question (banded 9/21). I'm so glad to find out I'm not alone!!!
  9. Hey there! I am a brand new baby bandster (surg. 9/21) and am in the liquid diet phase. Did anyone (or everyone) experience extreme hunger (I'm about to gnaw my arms off )? Of course, it doesn't help that every commercial I see is all food & friends trying to "help" my family, bring over things like pizza & spaghetti. I guess I thought that after the surgery, I wouldn't be so hungry anymore...my mistake! I was also hoping to get an idea of what to expect from weightloss. About how much did/do you lose on average each month? I'm sorry, I know this questions is probably buried out there somewhere, but I haven't found it just yet. Any help, advice, & encouragement is greatly appreciated!!!! Have a great day!!!!
