Port Pain

This has probably already been asked, but I couldn't find it. Is it normal to have port pain after a fill? I had my first fill on Thursday and where my port is hurts. Also, as with any injection site, there is a little redness around the area where the needle went in. I figured this was normal, but now with the pain I am not really sure. Thanks ahead of time for the answers everybody!

I just had my first fill on Tuesday the 15th of September and the area near my port is bruised. I got stuck twice and both needle sticks are obvious. I do NOT have any pain near my port though.

Sometimes I do get port pain. Especially if I wear something to tight right after my fill. If the redness and pain continue I would call the doc.

Good luck,

D

My port area was always tender for a few days after a fill. Like melmarlem, I usually would bruise a little too. I think it is normal, but with anything, if the pain continues for too long, check with your doctor.
