yo-yo dieting

As part of my research/preparation for surgery, I went to the area support group. The entire meeting they were discussing gaining weight and perhaps needing to go back and do Optifast for a while to get back on the right track.

I thought this was supposed to be permanent weight loss.

How many end up in the same old cycle?:(

A lot of people think that this is an easy solution. They have the surgery and expect the weight to magically disappear. Unfortunately, it doesn't work like that!

You have to commit to working hard by eating well and exercising if this is going to work for you. It's easy to fall off track and it's easy to eat foods that slide on through the band (anything with a mushy or chip-like consistency, to start).
