I have got mine! October 12th.

As I live a long way away from the hospital, I am having my first fill under X ray so as to try and get into the sweet zone with as few goes as possible.

Oh wow that is AWESOME, the nurse at the office I used was the 2nd person to get the lap band done with the surgeon and because of that she calls herself a guinea pig because her first fill was done like that so she hit her sweet spot right away. Need an adjustment later in the year with the weight loss as it got a little lose.

Pray that you hit that sweet zone right away.

I got my date today. Oct 7th :tt1: YEAH!!! Only 3 weeks to go. I was surprised when he said to come back in about 3 weeks, usually they push for 4.

Can't wait just around the corner now...feel like I am in the home stretch!

I had my follow-up check up today and can get my fill as early as next week, but since my surgeon is not in next week and I do not like to go to the assistant, I will have my first fill on October, 6th. :bored: :smile2:

Mine is Sept. 30! Next week.

Can't wait, I am hungry and not feeling as satisfied after meals. Plus I can eat WAY more than I need to! I live far from the surgeon's office, so I have to fly in. I really hope this gets me close to where I need to be!

I don't know when mine is yet. I have to go to a nutrition class first. My dr said that my stomach was very fatty, so it might be a while before I feel like I need a fill. I feel very restricted right now.

Hey Bbelle, my first fill is same date as yours-10/12/09. Let's try to keep in touch. I hate needles (really who doesn't). I'm trying not to get too worked up. I haven't tried, but I bet I could eat just about anything I wanted right now.

yea me too I was just asking the nutritionist this. I said there is NO way I can eat only a half a cup and even at a cup i'm eating every 3-4 hours. She said the main aim is to stay w/ puree in order for the stomach to heal. Can go to 1 cup (of course now I prob need to write and say I am at past a cup). Seriously maybe I am not eating enough during the day and I skip Breakfast but when i was walking home it felt like i was getting the low blood sugar shakes. I added the metformin back in (when i test blood sugar it is normal though).

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
