Thanks tchr for your well wishes! I needed to do that desperately.

Tracey congrats on the loss!!!! Woot!!!

Hey y’all… just gonna drive by here and say hello. Not feeling too good today, I just wanted to say I lost 9 Lbs since last week.

:w00t::w00t:That is AWESOME!!:w00t::Banane20:

Hanging in there and I’m still going to do some workout. I promised myself that if I’m ever not feeling good I’d still do a little bit of something. Hope everyone is doing ok! I will check in again soon.

Hope you get to feeling better soon!

Hugs!

9 lbs??? Holy smokes. I wish I could start losing again, kind of getting depressed. feel really bloated today ... I'm sure that is a big part of it.

Me too...my rings would not come off this morning!

what a long cold wet day. I'm going to bed early, have a good night everyone

wow diva & tracey, thats great .hope everyone is doing good . check back later tc hagn. tweety51 Thank you!! you have a good one too!
Hey Folks.

Went to work this morning and did a 4 hour shift, stopped on the way home and got 2 slabs of ribs at our local BBQ place. They were on sale for $12.99 each. I got to eat one rib and it was yummy. This is what I have to say about that...

Our church did a Boo Fest in the Gym and I went over there. It was so cool. I hope the kids all had a great time. After I got home, Sis and her hub took us out to a place to show us some peoples house's were they really went all out decorating for Halloween. They did an awesome job on both places. I love this time of year. Me TOO!!

In the morning I will get up and get ready to drive to Columbia for the day. Gonna meet up with Jane and spend some time with her. It's about a 2 hour drive for her and about 1 and 45 minutes for me. I enjoy the times we get together. I am so jealous. Give her a big hug from me and tell her I miss her and love her! You be careful! Take pics!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

The baby shower went really well. My friend that is having the baby...she caught her fiance cheating on her in her 5 month of pregnancy. He moved out, has given her zero money to help her, and now looks like he will be a deadbeat dad. She got evicted from her house this week, had to move in with her mom and put her stuff in storage AND she is due any day. The baby shower was a 'get the necessities kind of shower, and she did! She got lots of diapers and clothes and bottles. I got her sheets, blankets, bumper pad, mattress cover that is padded & waterproof and some receiving blankets. Everything she needed for the bed. :blushing: She was cramping today and thinks she may go into labor tonight! For sure she said her dr is inducing her on Thursday (my fill day, btw :wink2:)

Alrighty, I am rambling about someone none of you even know...lol

Have a great night everyone.

Suzanne

Have fun today and please give Jane huge hugs for me, I miss her and she is such a sweet soul.

Tracy - Your poor friend. I've come to realize that guys suck, ok not all of them, but I know so many, including mine who leave and have no problems walking away from their lives, children and responsibilities. I just don't get how you could do that, but oh well.

Fill... yipee!

Speaking of deadbeats, I go to family court on Thursday, I'm a nervous wreck, it is not going to be fun at all, and the way our track record has gone, it will be dragged out forever.

Tracy - Your poor friend. I've come to realize that guys suck, ok not all of them, but I know so many, including mine who leave and have no problems walking away from their lives, children and responsibilities. I just don't get how you could do that, but oh well. I used to work with him too and who she is describing is nothing like the man I knew. Makes it hard to believe...makes me wanna go smack the sh*t out of him!

Fill... yipee! :crying: I am SO excited!

Speaking of deadbeats, I go to family court on Thursday, I have to tell you, this made me chuckle...the wording of it, not the situation. I'm a nervous wreck, it is not going to be fun at all, and the way our track record has gone, it will be dragged out forever.Positive thoughts only,,,and NO stress eating is allowed :P

Good morning everyone. I weighed the same this morning...fine with me!

I got a new cell phone yesterday and I LOVE it. It is an LG Vu...touchscreen. the only thing that worries me is that it lasts for a while! I am used to buttons!

Have a great day everyone!

Back home from my trip to Columbia to see Janiebug. It was so good to see her and I gave her hugs from everyone. I just enjoy spending time with her, wish we lived closer. I wish I could show you a pic of us but we didn't take any. Oh well, maybe next time. I just called her to tell her I made it home and she still had about 20 more miles to go.

We met at Olive Garden and then went over to the Mall and walked. We stopped at the food court and got Orange Julius's and sat and talked for about an hour. Next spring I'm gonna try to go spend a few days with her and seee her part of the State.

Good Morning.

I have a super duper busy day today.

Work and than have to head over ot Kansas for my appointment with my Band Doc. Than meet my friend Judy for a couple of hours and than drive all the way home to pick Hubby up to drive back to the Casinos. Today is my nephews 21st B-day and we are going out to dinner. I'm gonna be worn out tonight.

I most likely will not get a fill. I really don't think I need one. What I need to do is to keep away from the halloween candy. I need to quit thinking that I can eat it all. I know I have lost weight but not as much as I should have and that's what I hate.

Have a great day and I will check in late this evening.

Good morning everyone! Wow, I was SO shocked at the scale this morning. It showed that I have lost 3.5 more pounds. I am not gonna claim it on my ticker until I weigh it again tomorrow. :hurt: I made it all day with NO SUGAR! *Me* No sugar. Unbelievable. I am so happy that I am getting my groove back...and this is with an empty band. I know alot may be Water weight but ya know what? 5 pounds of water is still 5 pounds lighter :wink2: so you will never hear me say, 'oh, its just water weight that I lost'....I don't care what kind of loss it is, as long as the scale is going in the right direction.. lol

I am about to give my dd her valium :cryin:. She has to be at the dentist in an hour and her gave her a prescription for one 5 mg valium.

Suz-SO glad you had a good trip!

Jenn-walk a few miles for me!

Cindy-raining there to right? It is suppsed to rain all day here...flash flood warnings and all that fun stuff.

Hope all of you have a great Monday!

Hey ladies!!

Suzie, yes! I hate the Halloween candy! We have some 3 Musketeers and I ate a fun size. I felt so bad because it cost me 1 point! I can think of such better things to use 1 point on. Like, right now I’m eating some salad with 1 Tbsp of lite ranch. It’s a huge bowl, and it’s also only 1 point. I can also tick off 2 servings of veggies. Nice! I can’t tick anything with a candy bar. L

If you don’t think you need a fill, then you probably don’t. Don’t be like me! LOL

Tracey, good deal! You’re really doin it! Feels great huh? Yeah I’ve finally been buckling down and it’s paying off. I’ll just keep praying for strength to keep going. I get sidetracked too easily…

I got notified I might be sent out to the Santa Cruz fire to help out with all the invoicing. That can sidetrack me. I won’t have my workout room and I won’t have all the healthy stuff right next me. I’ll probably have to eat out all the time. That’s really going to be tough! I have my tracker though so I’ll really need it. I might need to keep it at 24 points per day since I won’t be able to burn it off. Hmmm… now I’m not even sure I want to go!

See y’all soon! Hope you all had a nice weekend. J

Oh hey Tracey, I work for CAL-FIRE (The State of California’s Fire Department). These are invoices that are in result to the fire. It’s a little bit boring, but you know – maybe I just need a break from the office. I don’t think it will be too much of a big trip anyway.

Jen, sounds lovely! Those are the best days IMO, when you don’t have a whole lot going on and you can just enjoy the sunshine. We’ve had some nice weather here too. But, ours won’t last. We’re supposed to be getting a few days worth of rain soon. L

Hey is anyone watching that show Flash Forward? I must say… it’s pretty darn interesting! I started watching it last night. I missed the first few episodes and I’ve had a few hanging around on my DVR. I went to abc.com to watch the first ones and I’m already hooked! I’ll continue tonight with maybe one or two on the DVR.

Four days post surgery. I am sipping as fast as I can and getting NO WHERE near the goal of 60 - 80 grams of protein or the 64 oz of liquids. I just feel FULL. I don't know if it can still be the gas build up (I would think by now that would be gone) but it is a struggle to drink. And so far I have not had the nausea or spasms and don't want to wander into that territory by pushing too hard with liquids. I about passed out today as it was my most "strenuous" day. Went from second story to basement for shower and I was sure I was going to pass out. Looking back on my last few days I have had a total of less than 1000 calories. Am I just not getting enough nourishment in me? Once again a friday where I can't get ahold of the doc until Monday rolls back around so I am hoping maybe someone here has some experience on how to keep energy going. I do have fibromyalgia too and that may be where some added fatigue comes into play. How did you all fair with the goals the week after surgery?

2 days until I fly out to San Diego to have my Bypass Surg. in Tiajuana Mexico. Not gonna lie, the nerves are starting to surface. I don't fear the surgery itself, or the fact that I'm traveling alone, but its the aftermath that I'm stressing about the most, after this 8 week wait. I'm excited to finally be here, but I am really dreading the post surgical chapter. I know its going to be tough, real tough and I think I'm just in my head to much now that the day i here. Wish me luck, Hopefully I'm one of the lucky ones, and everything goes smoothly. Cant wait to give an exciting update,. If there is anyone else have a June bypass or even a recent one, Id love to have someone to compare war stories with. Also, anyone near San Antonio Tx? See ya soon with the future me. 💜

I'm in Houston so kind of near you and had the sleeve in Dec. Down 61 lbs. Feeling better. Was definitely worth it. I hope the everything is going well for you. Update us when you can!

      3. Doughgurl

I am back home after my bypass surgery in Tiajuana. I'm post op day 4. Everything went great! I guess I'm one of the lucky ones who have not encountered much pain at all, no nausea thus far and I'm having no problem keeping down broths and water. Thank you for your well wishes. I cant wait to keep up this journey and have a chance at better health and simply better quality of life. I know there will be bumps in the road ahead, and everything won't be peaches and cream, but at least I have a great start so far. 😍

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

I'm so happy for you! You are about to change your life. I was so glad to get the sleeve done in Dec. I didn't have feelings of regret overall. And I'm down almost 60 lbs. I do feel a little sad at restaurants. I can barely eat half a kid's meal. I get adults meals often because kid ones don't have the same offerings at times. Then I feel obligated to eat on that until it's gone and that can be days. So the restaurant thing isn't great for me. All the rest is fine by me! I love feeling full with very little. I do wish I could drink when eating. And will sip at the end. Just a strong habit to stop. But I'm working on it! You will do fine! Just keep focused on your desire to be different. Not better or worse. But different. I am happy both ways but my low back doesn't like me that heavy. So I listened (also my feet!). LOL! Update us on your journey! I'm not far from you. I'm in Houston. Good luck and I hope it all goes smoothly! Would love to see pics of the town you go to for this. I've never been there. Neat you will be traveling for this! Enjoy the journey. Take it one day at a time. Sometimes a few hours at a time. Follow all recommendations as best you can. 💗

      2. Doughgurl

Thank you so much for your well wishes. I am hoping that everything goes easy for me as well. We don't eat out much as it is, so it wont be too bad in that department. Thankfully. Also, I hear you regarding your back and feet!! I'd like to add knees to the list. Killing me as we speak! I'm only 5' so the weight has to go. Too short to carry all this weight. Menopause really did a doosey on me. (😶lol) My daughter also lives in Houston. with her Husband and my 5 grand-littles. I grew up in Beaumont, so I know Houston well, I will be sure to keep in touch and update you on my journey. I may need some advice in the future, or just motivation. Thank You so much for reaching out, I was hoping to connect with someone in the community. I really appreciate it. 💜
