what does everyone think of the kashi meal bars?

while they DO make me full, they also have a lot of sugar and carbs. just wondering if there is a healthier alternative out there. when i have to be someplace after work, i get these bars for dinner and feel like they might not be what i should be eating......

thanks!

I haven't tried them (I try to stay away from high sugar foods), but I was actually thinking about making my own meal-replacement/protein bars. You can google "homemade protein bar" or something like that, and get a bunch of recipes. Let me know if you find anything good!

I haven't tried them. I try to stay away from sugar. I find on the days I have sugary products are the days I am fighting hunger all day.

try the EAS protien bars. they are good. they are low carb, but like 15 or 17 grams of protien. they are expensive.

Thank you for all of the GREAT feedback! Somehow I knew they were too good to be good for me.

:blushing:

I'm gonna give those EAS bars a shot.

When I need a meal replacement I just drink a protein shake...I never found a meal bar that I felt was palatable that wasn't too sweet. The shakes are fast, too. Love the convenience.
