That would be awesome!I remember in April when I flew and I could walk down the aisle of the plane without turning to the side. An AMAZING accomplishment for sure!

Wow! Congrats to you all!

I hadn't really thought about my bandaversary this year except that I'm going back to my trainer to have new measurements done...that will be fun for a change!

NEXT year, I'm planning to go to Hawaii to Celebrate my 25th wedding anniversary...in late September...so that is my big goal.

I love to hear what you all are doing! (maybe I'll get glamour shots done for dh's Christmas present...hmmm...)

My bandiversary is on October 2nd and as its pointless to Celebrate by eating i am going to buy a killer dress and hit the town with my friends. This may not be that different from any other weekend apart from i will really take notice of how amazing i feel now compared to one year ago!

We have the same bandiversary date!!!

I am getting my band re-filled on 10/6! That's my celebration. :scared2: I was way too tight on 9/18 and had to have my liquid removed...emergency trip to the ER. Stress at work and upcoming flight out of town made my Dr. decide to remove all restriction.

You are doing so great!!! Congratulations!

I'm pretty proud of my 65 lbs, too. I feel great. I just bought 2 pair of SIZE 14 jeans at lunch today! That was an awesome experience!

Well DH bought me an hour long massage with hot stone therapy in June for my birthday and I haven't had a chance to use it yet so I think I will for my Bandiversary.

My best friend will be going away for the weekend after my bandaversary. We will be visiting an Amish area. I am looking forward to some beautiful fall days!

My bandaversary was Oct. 8th. I didn't do anything except make me a 'progress' picture. I've lost 70 pounds.

I need to decide what my next goal is and get motivated to get the rest of this weight off!

It truly has been a remarkable year and I'm so glad I made the decision to get this band! I went to the seminar to encourage my husband and ended up signing up too!

It's been great having someone to go through this with me.

It's been a wonderful experience. My overall health is so much better than it has been for many years. Somehow I have trouble believing that I am a senior citizen because I feel so healthy. I am wearing the same size clothes my 36 year old daughter wears.

Yet, there is a small voice in the back of my head saying "Will this last or be like the other times you have lost weight and regrettably found it again"? I hope it will last. I think it will last. I know it will last!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
