Pay it forward clothing exchange

So I do my best thinking in the shower. As I was getting ready to pack my things for a afternoon and evening at the beach and desperately trying to find clothes that fit me since most are all now huge on me, I thought I can't be the only one going through this. Wouldn't it be nice if we could start a clothing exchange system where we send a particular size clothing to somebody in need of that size. There are still many details that would need to be ironed out but I thought perhaps this is doable.

Feedback (without rudeness) is greatly appreciated.

Donna

yeah i agree,im looking for size 22/24 and 18/20 sizes of used stuff

The shorts I just retired are 20!

Hi! I did something like this on my own for other bandsters who I know through my blog. I have a lot of nice clothes (and plenty of gently worn Gap/Old Navy clothing), so I put together some care packages of items that I thought would look good on different people, based on the photos I had seen of them.

It's been a lot of fun to do this, and my only condition on sending the care packages is that the bandsters who receive them have to send the clothing to someone else when they are done (or if they don't like a particular item).

I definitely recommend doing this! I may be foregoing the tax writeoff for those items, but it feels so great to help someone else who is going through this same process.

Best,

Catherine

Nice! I love seeing when people do stuff like this!

Thank you everybody for the ideas. Keep it coming and with any luck we can get this figured out. I have many ideas swirling around in my head.

I guess we will need to contact whoever is in charge of this site for permission. If you all are anxious to move ahead on this feel free.

I would love to participate! When I checked out the forum on here for it, it wasnt active. While my clothes arent the best, I do have formal gowns from the Navy Ball that need a good home... Along with strapless bras, which can be a real expensive pain in the a** to find in a 48DDD

I have a few pairs of 22/24 pants and tops (probably more tops). Because I wear my bras until they fall apart, I don't have any of those to offer.

I have a ton of clothes that I've been holding onto that I no longer need. There is also an online exchange
