Woo!! Tomorrow morning is my surgery....I thought I would never make it here. I don't think I am nervous yet, just anxious I'm ready to go ahead and get it over with. I will leave my house at 5 in the morning and I am all ready. My bags are packed!!!! :mad:

I was supposed to have surgery 9/3, but on first day of liquid diet, had a tachacardia attack. drank some caffiene in diet snapple, exercised, and had the attack. Now am scared silly. Cardiologist said sometimes high levels of ketones can cause arrithmyia. see doc friday to ask questions. detest the liguid diet of glycerna and 1cp clear broth. Not sure can handle post op or restrictive food. any comments? feedback, thanks

:sad::thumbup::thumbup:Believe in yourself and stay determined. I hate the liquid diet and can't wait till I can eat food but guess what, I love love love the 15lbs I have lost since my surgery on the 27th of august. You Can Do It:thumbup:

Coloroado- I am ssooo feeling you with the wine thing! My family likes big Pasta meals with wine and BBQ with cold beer and boy am I missing that! I love drinking wine and something that worked for me this week was I found some no sugar apple juice and poured it in a wine glass. That gave me the filling that I was drinking and no one can tell the difference in white wine and apple juice so if you have ppl that you dont wanna explain why you are drinking too its perfect!! Good Luck at your BBQ! Congrats on the weight too!!!

Yeah! Good luck! Are you getting your band in Colo Springs or Denver? I was with Dr. Brown in Denver - 1 week ago today! Best thing ever!:sad:

I usually spend a couple of months on the Oregon Coast. It sounds like your surgeon is great. I'll keep him in mind the next time I'm over there. I'll want to know who is nearby, just in case... I'm committed to success with the band, so I'll spend the whole year with my current surgeon and agenda. I was planning on spending the winter in Brookings, I'll miss the area!

I'd much rather drive the two hours to Coos Bay from Brookings than drive over to Medford!

I'm doing a shake from GNC whey Protein. I originally was doing slim fast and those types but they contain too many carbs. So I had to get the whey. It's not that good. I hear that Unjury, Isopure just to name a few are good.

My favs are Slimfast Low Carb and Muscle Milk. MM is higher in calories (220 for 14 oz. bottle) but not too bad in carbs (10) and highest (25 g.) protein. It is expensive too...but the banana flavor is a nice change from vanilla and chocolate all the time. Atkins shakes are okay too, 150 cals and low carbs, several flavors.
