I first met with my surgeon in July and had my lapband done on sept 9th. After I met with my surgeon they told me Tricare requires an evaluation from phyc and nutrition....Good Luck!

Thanks for the encouragement. I am holding on I know it's a marathon not a sprint and it will take time..I just thought I would be losing a little more than 2 lbs in 3 wks...maybe I should pick up the excercising..but then again I didn't get fat by liking excercising....I guess I will just hang in there

hi all today is my one month bandversary...All though the total of my weight loss looks good..it's going really slow for me. I lost 14 lbs before surgery on the pre op diet. I lost 11 lbs the first week after surgery on the all liquid diet..since then I have only lost 2 more lbs. 2 LBS IN 3 WEEKS!!!!!! I am getting really frustrated, I excercise everyday I watch everything I eat!! I don't know what else to do but I wish something would happen!!!:thumbup:

I got my first fill yesterday..I have a total of 3.5 cc now..I can tell a difference but I am on mushies the rest of the day, tomorrow I get to go back to solid food...I am soooo looking forward to this..........

I lived in North Mississippi for about 15 years..we used to vacation every year as a "girls only " trip to gulf shores and Orange beach....I really miss it

LOL I dreamed of Pizza...I don't even like pizza, but there I was in my dream sitting in front of a big box of pizza with this goofy grin on my face just chewing away LOL ......maybe it's that I miss chewing......who knows

Hey everybody, since being banded on 09/09 I havn't had any pain at all and was barely even sore..So all was great!! Then it hit me last night like a Mac truck!! I got this awful pain everytime I took a breath in that felt like someone was stabbing me in the side...ugh it was awful and I am a person that handles pain really well. all I could do was cry. I thought maybe this is the gas everybody talks about...so I made myself get up and start walking..I could barely walk. I finally decided to take my liquid loratab after about 15 minutes the pain left...The med knocked me out for the night...I woke up this morning really sore...I don't know why this has just happened but it can go away now! it is still hurting when I take a deep breath..anybody else deal with this?? I have 2 more days on this protein shake diet then I can eat mushy's..I am so ready. I have started waking up hungry and dreaming about eating!!!! :mad2:

I had my surgery on the 9th..my surgeon said everything went perfect. I went in at 7:30 and was home by 1:30. I am a little sore and feel a little loopy..but other than that I am good. I am having no gas pains except for an ocasional feeling in my stomach where it feels like I need to burp but can't..like it's just a stuck burp or something..once that passes I feel fine. Hope everyone else is doing as well:tt1:

Woo!! Tomorrow morning is my surgery....I thought I would never make it here. I don't think I am nervous yet, just anxious I'm ready to go ahead and get it over with. I will leave my house at 5 in the morning and I am all ready. My bags are packed!!!! :mad:

Hi all, I am also being banded on 090909..my time is not as cool though..it's at 7:30. I am really excited and ready to get it over with so I can really start living. The diet is not as bad as I thought it was gonna be...2 protien shakes a day and one meal at night. doing good so far:thumbup:

I'm tricare prime and my approval process was super easy. I am using a civilian surgeon and their office works really well with tricare telling me how to get tricare to pay for certain things..mainly it was alot of going back to my Pcm for a referral.......
