I'm not trying to say you shouldn't be frustrated. I'm just try to say it's not as slow as it seems to be.

I agree. It's way too soon to tell. You aren't on a normal eating plan yet, and you probably aren't exercising yet.

If after six months, if you're eating right and exercising, then you can tell if you're a slow loser. I have gone for two months at a time and lost nothing. Then all of a sudden I will drop 5 lbs.

I think I am a slow loser. I haven't lost any weight in the last 6 weeks. I know there is a time where I will plateau and the scale will not move, but this seems really slow. I know my dr told me that is will probably take 3 to 4 years to take all my weight off. I may look like that I have lost alot of weight already. 24 pounds of it was pre and post op diet. After that it has been really slow. I really haven't lost a lot of inches either. I did go down only one size in clothes. I try to walk a few times a weeks but that doesn't always happen.

If you are a slow loser, exercise is pretty essential.

Hi everyone!!

I too am a slow loser. I have a net loss of only 20lbs since surgery last November. I have lost as much as 40, but that last 20 found its way back home. I know its my fault though. I dont follow the rules like I am suppose to and although I have some restriction, I could probably use another fill. I get so upset with myself cuz its not like I dont know what to do, I just need to do it -- gosh darn it--

Well I have been away from LBT for quite awile, but I am back. I want to really start over again. I have been exercisining and taking my Protein Drinks, now I am ATTEMPTING to start changing my food habits (wish me luck!!)

Okay thanks for letting me vent

Thank you. I'm just impatient, I do exrecise but with two kids a husband with a crazy work schedule, and my job, I only seem to fit exercise in twice a week for about two-three hours each day. I'll work on my patience and my exercise regimine.

I really could not live without LBT. This is the only thing that keeps me going when the scale does not move for long periods of time. I usually go a couple of months where I lose nothing, and then I will lose 5 lbs and be stuck again for another couple of months.

I am always glad to be able to maintain what I have lost and I know I am headed in the right direction. without the band, I am sure I would be much heavier by now.

I was banded 8-20 and am down 18lbs since surgery. If you average it out it works out to 2lbs per week but 15 of those pounds were in the first 3 weeks after surgery. I have been stuck pretty much since then. I do really good with my calories, I stay between 1000-1200 each day. My Protein varies from day to day. Some days I am low, some days I am high, like today, I already have 82g in. I called the nutritionist and she told me to try to stay around 800 calories a day and 70g of protein. That should help to jump start things. I have tried to, but I need another fill (I have had 1 so far). Otherwise, I feel like I am starving when I do that. I go for another fill on Friday and I am keeping my fingers crossed that it helps me. I also know I need to step up my exercise a notch. I am not trying to make excuses but I have a crazy life. I work all day at a desk, go home to 3 kids under the age of 6 to chase after, have horses to take care of, and of course the regular house work....you would think all of that would burn enough calories to drop some but guess not. I have an elyptical and my intentions is to really push to do that at least 4 times a week.

HI EVERYBODY,

I AM THE PERSON WHO COULD EAT 3 PIECES OF pizza. I HAD A FILL YESTERDAY AND BOY IS IT WORKING. I WAS TOLD TO COME BACK IN 2 WEEKS IF I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH RESTRICTION BUT IF DO JUST CANCEL THE APPOINTMENT. THEY PUT IN A WHOLE CC WHICH IS THE MOST THEY HAVE EVER PUT IN. I DID TELL TO BE AGGRESSIVE. DOES ANYONE OUT THERE HAVE DISCOMFORT WHEN THE LAY ON THEIR STOMACHS? AND DOES IT USUALLY TAKE 2 PEOPLE TO DO A FILL TO YOU. THEY ALWAYS HAVE 2 PEOPLE DO MY FILLS BECAUSE I AM DIFFICULT TO GET IN THE PORT.

WISH ME LUCK EVERYONE.:)

They have a hard time getting to my port too, Speed Racer. I am short waisted. So the port tries to hide up under my ribs I believe.

The Dr. usually does it by himself.

The last fill I had was on June 11th. He put 1.2cc in. I still have good restriction.

I had my surgery 1 year ago today. I LOVE IT!!

I went to buy me some new Jeans for the trailride this weekend because all I had are falling off of me.

I was so shocked, I tried on a 13, and they were to big, so I am in a 11/12. Yipppppeeee!!! I couldn't believe it. So I even bought me a new pair of boots!! Just to Celebrate.< /p>

I washed and dryed the jeans when I got home, and when I went to hang them up I just couldn't believe that those small jeans would go over these legs and butt! I am so excited!!

I just keep losing more inches than lbs. That's fine with me. Like my Dr.s nurse said, " If she could wear a size 10 and weighed 300lbs, she wouldn't care what the scales said.

Thanks everyone for listening to me, I really don't have anyone to share the good news with around here. My Family really didn't like the idea of the surgery, and when I can't eat like they do, they think I'm going to be sick. So I really don't say much to them.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
