Melinda, I'm going to kick you in the butt a little - don't buy Cookies or potato chips and you won't eat them! Buy WW ice cream treats or sugar-free popsicles and fudgesicles and get out there and WALK!!!!

Ok - now for the good part. You're doing great! You've lost more than 10 lbs/mo since your surgery and you're going to WW. So quit beating yourself up, change the things that you can, and let us know how you do in your 5K (I can't run so I think its awesome that you're doing it!).

:D :D :D :D :D

Thanks you Sandy...next time I am tempted I will remember your words and PUT DOWN THE chips AND Cookies !!! the 5K is on 3/10...I am too old to start running so I walk but I should finish in under 50 minutes (that is my personal goal). I'll keep you posted...FYI - these size 14 pants sure feel good as I started out in size 20 !!

Thank you again for your kind words....

Well, see! Quit yer bitchin' girl - going from a 20 to a 14 is something to be VERY proud of! I'm too old to run, too (actually, I've never been able to run), but I go to Curves 3 times a week and do the treadclimber the other 2. I still think its awesome that you're going to walk with that goal!

Sorry it took me a while to see your? When i eat super slow and chew well i can eat more sometimes. It depends on the day i even think the weather effects my band sensitivity. I know i am full when my pouch is full not my tummy. Sometimes i am still tummy hungry but pouch full so i have to stop or ill get stuck or have to pb a bit

I still have not been doing my ww tracking. After my 1cc fill I have great restriction with 2cc. still eating Soups and stuff till I get a little loser. I am having major nasty smelling burping after eating drinking or even when i'm not doing either. I really need a tad unfill but hate to drive 1 1/2 hour for that so I'm trying to stay on the positive side. I have never had the nasty belching and I've had my band for a long time. I mean I have been to tight before and slimed and stuff. which as long as i stop after so much i dont slime or spit up anything. I was hoping to be keeping up with my ww since i'm paying for it in all. But maybe by next week this will pass. any of you guys had that problem? any advice would be great thanks

Hi All. Been a busy couple of weeks and I just haven't had a chance to log on here. Glad to hear so many are doing well. I'm making steady progress myself, down 14.4 lbs. since I started at WW 8 weeks ago. It took me years to put on all this weight and I know it will take me a long time to lose it and it will be a lifetime of mindful eating to maintain it once I get there. So, here's to us and each day!

I do have a question for all of you though. How do you track when you have an episode of PBing? I just had split pea Soup with ham. I didn't chew the ham properly, it got stuck and all the Soup behind it came back up. I think that I should only track what I believe I digested, but really don't know how to calculate that. What do others do?

Margaret - I write down what I ate - subtract the point value and the put that I PBed the stuff back out... After I stick, I don't eat much for the rest of the day so there is no way I could go over my points value. I had that happen to be yesterday - tossed up my lunch so dinner was a Protein shake and then only part of one. Today, doing ok and back to normal.

you should know your pouch is full based on how much it is meant to hold which is about 6-8 ounces. the way i tell is by listening to myself for clues, like a runny nose, a burp, a sigh, a hard lump in the back of my throat, pressure between my breast bone. this usually means I have had enough, even though at that point i can usually cram a few more bites in but I try to stop at those signs to prevent myself from p'bing. if you eat slider foods or chew chew chew, you can always get more down than you need to but if you eat normally and stick to around 6-8 ounces of food your pouch will be full if you have the right amount of restriction. good luck

I dont subtract points if I throw something up. I figure it will just help me out in the long run because I probably eat more more points a day than I think, even though I try to be accurate. How many points do you all get a day? I get 30

Last week I had a good loss (14 total gone since starting ww) but this week I have eating strangely. So much other stuff has been going on food has gotten away from me. I just hope I have not gained. (I go weigh in on Saturday mornings) so I have one full day left.

Well guess who got 1/2 cc taken out today? Me, and I feel so much better so tomorrow I will be starting to log my weight watcher points agian. I had lost 8 pounds in the two weeks since my fill so that was good. But I was living on broth and popsicles those two weeks so i might gain a few back this week switching to solids. But hey it should come off the next week as long as i stick with my poins

I agree with KristyT Hiccups is my major STOP button if I take another bite its sure to come up. I don't take off any for pbing. It was my fault it happend so i use that to teach myself not to do it agian.

So excited good job with the 14 pounds gone!

i dont pb very much and when i do it is my fault, i dont think we acutally pb enough to take off anyway LOL I track all my points, Im allowed 33 points a day and I usually stick to around that amount of points, usually 30, sometimes I use my extra weekly points for a treat but not usually. congrats on all your weight losses and Im glad you feel better after your unfill, you might actually see a kick off with weight loss when you switch to solid foods, sometimes changing things up with our bodies trigger a weight loss. good luck

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
