Has anyone been banded in Costa Rica?

Hi, I just recently found out about the lap band. I am 27 yrs. old, 250lbs. and I also have Hypothyroidism. I have been overweight all my life and it is really difficult for me to lose weight.

I am currently living in Nicaragua as a missionary and I was thinking about getting banded in Costa Rica. It's not that far from me and I know it is a lot cheaper there. The only thing is that before I do it I would like to talk to someone that has had it done there and their experience.

Thanks,

Charity Marroquin

I asked this same question here a few weeks ago. Hope you get replies as it would interest me. We have a friend who lives in Costa Rica and he praises their medical care constantly.
